The Aries Celebrities Who Perfectly Embody Their Zodiac Sign

As the very first sign of the zodiac, Aries has an important role of leading the way and getting things started without having previous signs to turn to while doing so. That, in itself, makes these people born between March 21 and April 19 a very interesting crowd. "The sun is exalted in Aries, meaning these people are blessed with certain qualities necessary to be leaders and innovators," astrologer Emma Toynbee tells Well + Good. "They represent all that is newly born, are movers and shakers, lead-role actors, agents of change, individual and unique, pioneers, inventors, innovators, strong competitors, and fierce warriors."

While they may not be the most stubborn of the zodiac (that honor goes to Taurus the bull), as a ram, Aries still likes to butt heads with those around them and, even if they're proven wrong, they're not likely to admit to it. Instead, they'll stand their ground, perhaps even be argumentative about it, until whomever the disagreement is with backs down so Aries can go about being right — because there's nothing else for them to be in their minds.

Because Aries is such a unique sign, some very intriguing celebrities call it their own. Whether you're an Aries yourself or just have a curiosity as to what celebrities are, you're about to realize how eclectic the list really is.

Lady Gaga has perfected the Aries self-reinvention

Born (this way) on March 28, Lady Gaga is the type of creative innovator that has not only made history with her music and acting career, but through her personality. Since the very early days of her fame, the New York native has set herself apart from the others. After all, it's not as though anyone else has ever worn a dress made of real meat to the MTV Music Videos (or any other award show for that matter) like Gaga did in 2010.

But just when the world thought they knew Lady Gaga and all she was capable of, in true Aries form, she did a 180 with her career and put out a jazz album, "Cheek to Cheek," with the legendary Tony Bennett in 2014. Just two years later, in 2016, she released a country pop album entitled "Joanne." According to Collective World, Aries are masters of reinventing themselves — in addition to all their other traits — and no one knows how to do that quite like Lady Gaga.

Pedro Pascal is fearless warrior personified

Pedro Pascal is a lot of things. As it was established last year, he's an internet daddy and a zaddy, as well as babygirl. When 2024 rolled around, Pascal could finally add award-winner to his resume when he took home a SAG Award, a People's Choice Award, and a handful of others during award season. He's also, to no surprise, an Aries, having been born on April 2.

In 2023, he sat down with MTV and talked about his Aries status saying, "[Aries] are the best and the worst, kind of, you know? We don't do in between." Which is very true. Because Aries needs to be first, right, and always ahead of the pack, they don't have the time or headspace to straddle the median. That could also explain why after decades in the entertainment business, Pascal isn't just still standing, but finally getting his due: he's a fearless warrior and was never going to settle for second-best.

Reese Witherspoon's bank account proves she's mastered Aries ambition

Like most people who are fortunate enough to be born under the Aries sign, Reese Witherspoon is fiercely ambitious and has her hands in lots of projects at once. Born on March 22, Witherspoon isn't just an award-winning actress, but a producer, founder of clothing line Draper James and media company Hello Sunshine, and if you're lucky enough to publish a book that makes it onto Reese's Book Club's list, you're pretty much set for life (meaning, there's probably a movie or series with your book's name on it in the works).

"These people don't like queueing or being stuck in the back or behind," astrologer Emma Toynbee tells Well + Good of Aries. "They will often find a way to push to the front." And that's exactly what Witherspoon has done and continues to do. Need further proof? In 2021, Forbes named her the richest actress in the world and two years later, in 2023 with a net-worth of $440 million, Forbes put her on their list of the top 15 richest self-made women.

Sarah Jessica Parker is typical Aries through and through

Similar to Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Jessica Parker is about taking her ambition and putting it into action thanks to her inner Aries need to conquer and shake things up. According to Astrotalk, Aries are the biggest risk takers of the zodiac, fearlessly going where few other signs will go simply because failure isn't something that they even think is a possibility. While SJP might mostly be associated with her "Sex and the City" character Carrie Bradshaw, that's just the tip of the iceberg for this Aries who was on born March 25.

Parker has numerous awards for acting (mostly for playing Bradshaw for six seasons), launched multiple fragrances, lines of shoes, and even teamed up with Samsonite to create a travel collection under her brand SJP. She's also collaborated with a New Zealand Winery to produce yearly wines, and co-founded Pretty Matches Productions — just to name a few of her Aries-infused endeavors. Although all this might sound exhausting, as a fire sign, Aries needs this type of endless creativity and stimulation to feel at home in their mind and body. "Overall, [they] desperately need to be inspired to be happy," astrologer Donna Page tells Women's Health. "Think of the element of fire — it needs fuel. Otherwise, the fire dies down."

Diana Ross is the ultimate Aries diva

Did we mention that Aries can be divas yet? No? Okay, so let's do that: Aries are such divas and Diana Ross, at least back in her hey-day, had one heck of a reputation for being the ultimate diva — and she knew it. "It takes a long time to get to be a diva," Diana Ross once said according to BBC. "You've got to work at it." As astrology expert Edut tells Elle, Aries are "the most obvious divas out there" and "most likely to have an extended stint in Vegas... They just have that cardinal fire sign, so they're going to blaze brightly and hold their own on the stage."

While Leos are definitely known for their diva-like behavior, what makes Aries diva-ness sometimes too much to take is that it's combined with all the "must be first" mentality and a whole boatload of ambition. Granted, these are great things when it comes to pursuing and achieving dreams, but divas can be a difficult group to deal with. However, when it comes to Aries, at least we know they have the talent to back up any tantrums they might throw.

Mariah Carey has taken a page from Diana Ross and it's an Aries dream

Speaking of divas, born just one day later, on the March 27, but in 1969 instead of 1944, is Mariah Carey. Like Ross, Carey has made a name for herself not just for her extraordinary talent, but her off stage antics too. But what can you expect from the ram of the zodiac?

Although they may not have quite the perfectionist leanings as Virgo, Aries are self-centered enough (the most selfish of the zodiac, according to So Syncd and other astrological sites) that they can truly be insufferable. However, it's this need to make it all about them and their competitive spirit that aids Aries in many ways. Case in point: Carey's NYE performance of 2016. "It was such an Aries moment," astrologer Dorothea Lasky tells Nylon. "Everything she was doing could be explained by her being an Aries... [Aries] always perform their way through adversity." Diva or not, it's far more admirable to stick it out than give up and walk away like some signs might do in a similar situation.

Anya Taylor-Joy is admittedly stubborn true to Aries form

Anya Taylor-Joy may have become a household name thanks to "The Queen's Gambit," but she's not just an actress with a passion for acting, but a ferocious reader too, feeding into the truth that Aries needs to be satiated at all times. In fact, during the lockdowns of 2020, Taylor-Joy kept a running list of the books she was reading in her Instagram highlights called Quaraneads — and there are dozens and dozens, maybe even triple digits of books she read and posted. Which, being born on April 16, was very Aries-with-a-dash-of-Taurus of her. One of the many reasons so many Aries get involved in multiple endeavors at once is because they need to be front and center, coming in first place, and conquering avenues if they're to feel truly satisfied.

In addition to needing to have more than one thing at the tips of her fingers, Taylor-Joy also admitted that she's stubborn in an interview with writer and director M. Night Shyamalan for Interview Magazine. "And I'm very determined. I'm very stubborn. Once I set my mind towards something, it's going to happen. By hook or by crook," Taylor-Joy said. Spoken like a true ram of the zodiac.

Emma Watson's leadership skills proves she's Aries to the core

Although Emma Watson may have never been called a diva, doesn't have a whole slew of fashion or fragrance lines, and isn't very likely to be caught wearing a meat dress one day and an elegant gown the next, born on April 15, Watson is still very much an Aries in her own way. Albeit, an Aries that's only four days away from being a Taurus which could explain some things.

Where Watson's Aries traits shine is that she's fearless, confident, determined, and passionate. She's also a pioneer in her own right and a leader when it comes to inspiring feminism and gender equality. "The rise of internet feminism and increasingly politically engaged youth has brought these issues to the forefront of the news agenda, and the 'Emma Watson effect' has done brilliant things for the cause," former director of marketing and communications at National Citizen Service Natasha Kizzie told Refinery 29 in 2017. "She inspires young people to never limit their expectations of what they can achieve on the basis on their gender."

Watson also isn't afraid to speak her mind, having told British Vogue in 2017, "I can be blunt and direct and quite confrontational!" Considering how close she is to Taurus, it's safe to say she'll win any argument and leave the competition shaking in their boots.
