All Of Jennifer Lopez's Engagement Rings, Ranked

Jennifer Lopez has more than a few engagements under her belt. The singer has been married four times, and been engaged six times. Naturally, there are some pretty impressive rings to show for it, which is why we're going through the list of bling to assess which rings were the most interesting, and which didn't sparkle quite as much. Some of Lopez's rings were very traditional, and others opened up a conversation about engagement rings that inspire individualism and leave room for personal taste. After all, several of the "Marry Me" star's rings featured colored diamonds, which is a unique direction for that kind of jewelry.

While the A-lister has enjoyed the frosting of many engagements, it hasn't been easy for her. Jennifer Lopez has shared openly about love, relationships, and heartbreak, and how harrowing the demise of a relationship can be. Breakups can be so demoralizing that they can take a toll on one's physical health, and Lopez hasn't been shy when sharing about the pain she's gone through. But the "Let's Get Loud" star has also been an incredible example of hope and resiliency. She's never given up on love, and her stunning engagement rings are proof of that! Gotta love a girl who loves love (and bling)!

Ojani Noa's ring was a traditional yellow gold piece with a diamond

The first ring on our list came from Jennifer Lopez's first husband, Ojani Noa. He waitered at a restaurant that Lopez patronized, and later became a restauranteur himself. Noa proposed with a yellow gold engagement ring featuring a pear-shaped diamond. According to Page Six, the ring was worth $100,000. The two tied the knot in 1997, but ended up divorcing ten months later. However, this wasn't the last of Noa. In 2009, he resurfaced, attempting to make a documentary on his life and hoping to use footage from home videos that he made with Lopez, including clips from their honeymoon. Lopez claimed that there was compromising material on the tapes, and a judge barred Noa from using the videos. It's clear that things didn't end well between the two.

There's no real diss to Noa's ring; it's a lovely piece of jewelry. It's the least interesting ring amongst JLo's collection because there's nothing much to say about it. The relationship was a long time ago and there's limited footage of the piece itself, so we're not connecting with this ring in a meaningful way.

The ring from Alex Rodriguez was almost too big

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez began dating in 2017, and got engaged in 2019. Rodriguez's engagement ring was a massive emerald-cut diamond ring ranging from 12-15 carats. Jewelry designer Stephanie Gottlieb told Brides how valuable this ring was. "A natural diamond of that size and quality is incredibly rare, and of course pricey," Gottlieb began. "I'd say $1 million is a safe estimate." It's worth noting that other jewelry experts have valued the ring even higher, with a price point sitting at $5 million.

It's Lopez's largest engagement ring, and yet we're not obsessed with it. On the Reddit forum r/EngagementRings, users didn't like how large ARod's ring choice was. "Her engagement ring style has always been: the gaudier, the better," someone began, later adding, "When you're going 8+ carats, there's no way to make it look like it wasn't plucked off a child's play tiara. They don't look good on her finger." Another user said they were "not a fan of the boxy radiants" that JLo seems to attract, articulating a dislike for the large, emerald-cut of her largest engagement ring. It feels weird to criticize a ring for being too big, but this ring was a bit much.

Chris Judd's engagement ring was sweet

Jennifer Lopez married dancer Chris Judd in 2001, after meeting him on the set of "Love Don't Cost a Thing." He proposed with an emerald-cut diamond ring that allegedly cost over $100,000. Love does cost something, apparently. The couple split up in 2002, and their divorce was finalized in 2003. It seems that fame and stardom took a toll on the couple, particularly Judd. In a 2014 interview with Us Weekly, he said that his life completely changed after marrying Lopez. "You know it's very tough," he said. "Your privacy is breached. You're no longer a normal person. [Our wedding] was a circus. I think several people got arrested trying to climb up a mountain... trying to sneak in. We actually rented the airspace."

We ranked Judd's engagement ring as third on our list because there's something really endearing about it. The ring is a lovely, contemporary example of a statement ring without being too ostentatious. We weren't alone in thinking that. On TikTok, gemstone and jewelry expert Mon Été Studio went over JLo's rings, and many expressed a love of Judd's in the comments. It seems genuine and humble compared to Lopez's later rings.

JLo's pink ring from Ben Affleck was a huge hit

We're getting into the realm of rings where it's tough to choose. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez got engaged for the first time in November 2002, after meeting on the set of "Gigli." At the tie, Affleck proposed with a pink diamond solitaire ring from Harry Winston that he designed himself. To get a better take on this extraordinary ring, Women.com spoke to Mike Fried, CEO of The Diamond Pro. Referring to Lopez's second, green diamond engagement ring from Affleck, Fried explained that pink diamonds are rarer than green ones. "The pink diamond, while stunning, is more subtle than the green one," Fried said. "The pink hue exudes a soft, feminine feel, while the green one is more bold in its style."

While Fried pointed out that both the pink and green diamonds are valuable in their own way, fans online had a lot of sway for the pink ring. On TikTok, as people weighed in on Lopez's pink engagement ring. "Bennifer round one," someone voted, choosing pink over green. "That pink ring is!!!" another said. "Pink!!" someone else chimed in. "Ben's first one is my favorite," yet another commented. "The pink Diamond for sure is craaazy!" an additional fan wrote, so the pink diamond ring was a home run.

JLo's engagement ring from Marc Anthony was a blue diamond

We know, we know. We dissed A-Rod's ring for being too boxy, but we're loving Marc Anthony's ring, which is so similar. Except it's not. Hear us out. It's BLUE! Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony got engaged in 2004, and Anthony proposed with an 8.5-carat blue diamond ring from Harry Winston, that was believed to be worth around $4 million. The ring was considerably smaller than the ring from Alex Rodriguez, making it more popular with fans, who have leaned towards rings that are more of a wearable size. (Though 8.5 carats is no small ring!) The two went on to marry and stayed together for ten years, welcoming twins Max and Emme in 2008.

Fans on TikTok really vocalized their love for Anthony's unique, blue diamond when @onlynaturaldiamonds went through the list of JLo's engagement rings. "Marc's was the best! so pretty," one user commented. "Marc Anthony's ring is my favorite," another wrote. "...the one from Marc A is my fav," someone else added. In another TikTok video, from content creator @mon.ete.studio, fans raved again about the blue diamond. "I love the Marc Anthony ring," one exclaimed. "Marc Anthony ring," another claimed, hot on the heels of the previous comment. It seems like everyone loves the rare, blue diamond.

The green diamond from Ben Affleck is number one

Ben Affleck proposed again to Jennifer Lopez in 2022, bringing their relationship full circle. This time, Affleck proposed with a green diamond ring. Mike Fried, CEO of The Diamond Pro spoke to Women.com about why this ring was so special. "The green diamond ring is exceptional because it features an 8.5 carat stone – a massive rock that Ben no doubt took lots of time to select," he explained. "Investing in a massive fancy colored diamond is very expensive, so it's important to pick a diamond that's rich with color and free of any major blemishes." While pink diamonds are technically more rare than green ones, Fried adds, a diamond this size is exceptionally difficult to find.

Because of this, in Fried's professional opinion, the green diamond ring wins. "I think the green diamond from Ben Affleck is the most impressive ring J. Lo has received. The diamond is exceptionally rare and really speaks to the couple's love and willingness to stray from tradition." Fried also noted how Lopez spoke about green being her lucky color, so her engagement ring is doubly meaningful to her. TikTok content creator @mon.ete.studio also voted that the green ring was the best of all. "Yeh my fave is the green too," they wrote in the comments. "Green diamond," a fan began, adding a heart eye emoji, "woof!!!" The unique engagement ring has stolen everyone's hearts.

Methodology for ranking Jennifer Lopez's rings

It's really tough to narrow down a series of lovely rings. Each one of Jennifer Lopez's engagement rings was beautiful and a symbol of the relationship that she was in at that time. For that reason, each ring is meaningful in its own right. As far as our rankings went, we compiled some factors that shaped our decisions. Mike Fried's expert reporting on Ben Affleck's second ring certainly informed our methodology. Additionally, we noted fan reactions and how enthusiastic feedback was towards certain rings. Additionally, we noted the aesthetics of the ring itself, as well as stone rarity. This is why the final three rings on our list were all colored diamonds; these are more obscure than traditional diamonds, and the green one was the rarest.

We have an additional theory to add, based solely on a hunch. Our inkling is that Lopez loved her pink diamond ring from Affleck best of all. Looking through archives of digital footage of Lopez and her engagement rings, her body language is completely different with this particular ring. With all of the other engagement rings, we're able to catch glimpses of them while she's doing other things, but she doesn't go to great lengths to show off the ring. When it came to the pink diamond ring, Lopez was constantly flashing it. Our hypothesis is that beloved ring encapsulated the tender feelings she felt towards Affleck in the early years of the Bennifer era; therefor, that ring was really meaningful to her.
