5 Times Zendaya Went Makeup Free And Looked Absolutely Stunning

Our girl Zendaya can pull out all the stops when it comes to getting glam, but she can also rock a no-makeup look like no other. In fact, her no-makeup look is an inspiration for those of us who want to take a day off from our cosmetic routine. Unsurprisingly, the "Euphoria" star has sway in this department, as we've already found inspiration in other style choices she's made. For instance, her hair looks are out of this world, from her natural curls to blonde bangs, and her fashion has equal power of influence. She pulls off trends while staying true to her edgy style, even pioneering the low-rise skirt trend, which can be tricky to pull off. From the clothes that Zendaya wears to her makeup (or lack thereof), she makes anything look appealing. 

For Zendaya, both the choice to skip makeup and her interest in makeup came from childhood inspiration. "My beauty icons are the women in my life," she told Vanity Fair in February 2019. "[When I was growing up] my mom didn't wear makeup; I don't think she knew that, to me, it was empowering that she didn't care. But I was super into it, so I would go to my grandma's house, and she would have all the good makeup. I got to see how women are able to navigate within the space of beauty and [see that] it's self-defined: it is equally beautiful, however you choose to do it." Equally beautiful is right. 

Zendaya has been showing off her gorgeous, makeup-free face for a long time. Posting a fun pic on Instagram in February 2017, the "Dune" star joked in the caption: "All I do is steal my own pics from snap." Fans were in full support of this look. "[S]he's so beautiful even without make up," someone commented. "I wish i looked like that," another began, "ur skin is soo clear." A third fan noted, "No makeup, yet slayinggg." Indeed she is! 

In May 2018, Zendaya cozied up with her dog, Noon, and posted some pool pics. While she was wearing a very energetic, neon yellow bikini, she opted for no makeup. The "Challengers" star looked fresh and happy, proving that a killer look doesn't always require intense glam. Sometimes all a girl needs is her dog. 

In June 2018, Zendaya wished a happy birthday to her personal assistant and best friend, Darnell Appling. Zendaya was making a silly face while the two hugged in the snow. While the post was cute as could be all around, what we loved was Zendaya's fresh face and lively, lovely hair. The two certainly looked at ease and like they were having fun, which is what going makeup-free is all about. 

In June 2019, Zendaya posted on Instagram to speak to fans about the serious content in HBO's "Euphoria," for which she plays the character Rue Bennett. The show contains a lot of graphic content and drug addiction, and Zendaya wrote in a message that accompanied the photo, reminding viewers that the HBO show was for mature audiences. While Zendaya had an important message, fans couldn't help but notice that the star was makeup-free. "No makeup you look so much better," one person wrote. She looks great both ways! 

Zendaya kept things chill for a pic that she shared on Instagram in July 2018. "Small photo shoot in front of a window," she wrote in the caption. People were all about Zendaya's makeup-free look. "Natural beauty," a fan wrote. "Ohh girl ur SO beautiful without make up," another person commented. "[A]n idol, a natural stunner," a third fan wrote. People were clearly in favor of Zendaya's effortless look.
