There's something about romance novels that we just can't get enough of. We live for the spicy bits, because a little NSFW content makes life so much more fun. We love second chance storylines, and fantasy romances, too. There are gorgeous LGBTQ+ reads that totally deserve to be on our radars. There are even romance novels that come highly recommended by Reese Witherspoon, on her book club site, if a celebrity endorsement can sweeten the deal. There's truly something for every lover of this big, wide world of romances. And 2025 is coming with some heavyweights to add a little passion to the new year.

Emily Henry's Great Big Beautiful Life is coming in the spring

There's no one like Emily Henry to get everybody talking about a new book release. The iconic rom-com author has a new book slated for release in spring 2025. The novel, called "Great Big Beautiful Life," will hit shelves on April 22, 2025. The novel is about two rival writers, Alice Scott and Hayden Anderson, who both wind up on Little Crescent Island. Each writer is trying to complete a biography on the elusive, reclusive Margaret Ives, who was once a great socialite and has since pulled away from society. Ives gives each writer a one month trial to win her over and get the bid for the biography. The effort to tell Ives' story becomes the delicious friction between Scott and Anderson, and ultimately forces the two to look at their own budding story.

When the new cover dropped, another devoted reader got excited. "omg the cover!!!i apologize for the person i will become when this comes out," they wrote. Another joked, "maybe this will fix me." Suffice it to say, Henry's newest novel is a major part of our excitement for 2025.

Abby Jimenez's Say You'll Remember Me is almost here

Beloved author Abby Jimenez is gifting us with another book — "Say You'll Remember Me" is hitting shelves on April 1, 2025. Jimenez is a master at creating expansive universes, where readers will recognize the lead characters in her new books because they've already been introduced to them in previous novels. "Say You'll Remember Me" features Samantha, who made an appearance in Jimenez's previous novel, "Just For the Summer," where love interests Emma and Justin wind up helping Samantha's mother. It's a brilliant thing that Jimenez does, because each new book feels slightly familiar.

Ashley Poston's Sounds Like Love is coming in the summer

Ashley Poston's newest release is so fresh that we don't even have a cover yet! (The next best thing is a cute pic of the author with her cat.) Poston's "Sounds Like Love" is expected to come out on June 17, 2025, and it's available for pre-order. Poston built up her stellar reputation on the success of her previous romance books, "The Seven Year Slip," "The Dead Romantics," and "With Any Luck." It's because of how much readers loved these works of art that people are very antsy for "Sounds Like Love" to get here.

"Sounds Like Love" is the story of Sasha, a musician, and Jolene Byrd, a songwriter, who are both artistically blocked. Using elements of magical realism, Poston crafts the novel around Sasha and Jolene's inexplicable connection: they're both being haunted by an unfinished song and they need the other to complete it. But the music has a mind of its own, and is determined to bring them together. Readers love the sound of a musically-based novel. "[A] new ashley poston book!!?! a singer and a songwriter!! sign me up!!" a fan wrote on goodreads. "So apparently Ashley got the memo that I fell in love with musical/rockstar romances this year?" another wrote, obviously very excited. "OMGOMGOMGOMG WHATTTT? MUSICAL ROMANCE BY ASHLEY ? GIMME NOWWWWWW," someone else added. People cannot wait.

Ali Hazelwood's Deep End has our hearts racing already

Ali Hazelwood is bringing another epic story to our world. "Deep End" is slated to come out on February 4, 2025 as a little appetizer for Valentine's Day, and the story centers around Stanford junior Scarlett Vandermeer, who's a platform diver with ambitions of getting into med school. Swim captain Lukas Blomqvist is focused and dedicated. Nothing is going to deter either of these superstars from conquering their goals, until a secret inexplicably unites them. A relationship that is not only ridiculous, but completely inconvenient. And yet it might be inevitable.

Fans on goodreads are very excited about a sports romance, since Hazelwood is an expert on crafting niche romance stories. She's written chess love stories, STEM romances, and paranormal plots, so everyone's full of anticipation about "Deep End." A devoted fan wrote, "A SWIMMING ROMANCE. SIGN. ME. UP." Another has already committed to devouring the book. "SPORTS ROMANCE YOU SAY??? Take my money," they began, adding dollar bill emojis. "At this point I will GLADLY buy everything that Ali Hazelwood publishes." The only thing more determined than Hazelwood is her fan base, eager to get their hands on this newest love story.

Brynne Weaver's Scythe & Sparrow is getting everyone pumped

The Ruinous Love Trilogy is coming with its third masterpiece, "Scythe & Sparrow." Brynne Weaver has done it again, and her newest novel is slated to come out on February 11, 2025. This third book comes hot on the heels of Weaver's earlier two books, "Butcher & Blackbird" and "Leather & Lark." Weaver expertly uses thriller themes and dark motifs alongside romance. The newest novel centers on Doctor Fionn Kane who settles in Nebraska in order to heal his broken heart. Meanwhile, motorcycle rider Rose Evans joins the circus. Things go awry, and Rose finds herself in a small town in Nebraska and needs a doctor's help to heal her broken leg.

Fans are absolutely thrilled that there's going to be a third book in the Ruinous Love world. "My heart is literally beating out of my chest for this! Is it bad that I hope Brynne extends this series past this trilogy??? I've already read all of her books, and B&B was top tier!" a reader on goodreads wrote. "I NEED THIS BOOK NOW. Especially after the ending of leather and lark??? I'm feral for this series," someone else shared. "I can't freaking wait to get my hands on this book!" another fan raved. It's safe to say that pre-order sales are going to be off the charts.
