We're infusing handbags, coats, sweaters, shoes, and trousers with this stone fruit for a more complex, opulent wardrobe palette. We're so obsessed with cherry that Women.com spoke with fashion stylist and lifestyle expert Joseph Katz of Skype Style to talk about the it-color. "The past seasons we have seen some more earthy tones and now fashion is shifting to, but fashion is now making a vibrant turn toward statement-making colors—particularly cherry red," Katz told us. We're excited, and he gave us tips for how we can incorporate the cherry vibe into every look we put together. 

When it comes to cherry red, a monochromatic look is a winning outfit, even on the laziest day. This is because cherry is earthy enough to work as a daytime look, but romantic enough that it kicks neutrals out the door. Expert Joseph Katz talked about it. "Cherry red is set to dominate 2025 as the ultimate power color—bold, confident, and fun," he told Women.com. "Whether you choose a statement coat, a sleek pair of heels, or just a pop of red in your accessories, this pop of color is the perfect way to turn heads and elevate any look."

But where the fun really starts is when you opt for cherry from head to toe. "For those who dare, layering multiple red pieces creates a striking monochrome moment, while a single standout item can add just the right amount of drama," Katz went on. "No matter how you wear it, this fun color is guaranteed to turn heads and boost confidence." Opt for pieces in the same tone, but feel free to mix and match textures. Satin and wools look beautiful together, so play with fabrics, while keeping the tone the same. 

If going full-on cherry red feels like it's a bit much, you can ease into the it-color of 2025 by incorporating it into your accessories. "You can start small by adding in the color with small accessories like a great handbag, shoe or great belt," Joseph Katz told Women.com. He suggested sourcing the color in a stunning pair of heels, or via a handbag. Cherry red sneakers are a great upgrade from the classic, white running shoe that's been dominating streetwear for years now. Match it all by slipping on a cherry red, leather jacket and you're really cooking. 

If you want to experiment with cherry red, but don't know how you feel about a full jolt of the single hue, wearing a pattern, particularly plaid styles, is a wonderful way to ease it into your wardrobe. "If all over red is too much add red into your prints like your floral patterns or plaid patterns," Joseph Katz explained to Women.com. "This is a perfect way to incorporate the color without committing to the head-to-toe look." Best of all, this is an all-seasons situation. In the fall and winter, plaids and heavy prints are the way to go. In the spring and summer, slip dresses with juicy pops of cherry in the print are a dream.

Outerwear can run the risk of feeling boring. We're all guilty of wearing too much black in the winter time, because it's so easy. While white can be risky because of potential mud, salt, and stains, cherry red is a vivacious color that camouflages the hazards of winter just as well. Joseph Katz strongly suggested sporting cherry red as outerwear. "You can add in layers of red," he told us. "Take a great red blazer and put it over an ivory or black dress to just compliment your overall look." If you want to push the envelope farther, go for a cherry red leather trench, or a puffer coat. It'll spice up any wintertime wear. 

You don't always need to go monochromatic when it comes to cherry. The color plays well with other tones. Pale pinks bring out the sweet side of cherry red. But it really works with anything. Work it in with blacks, browns, and creams. Or go for a vivacious, barn house red to play with different degrees of red. Pale blues and pastels also add a rich level of contrast, which makes any outfit more interesting.
