Through it all, Reba has undergone a major hair transformation and sported some standout looks, stunning in everything from over-the-top western wear to dazzling designer dresses. Still, just as McEntire has made some hard-to-ignore makeup mistakes, not all of her red carpet looks have met expectations. 

Though "The Voice" star landed a spot on the list of worst-dressed celebrities of 2024, with some of her ensembles really missing the mark over the year, her fashion missteps can be traced across her career. Through all of her high-profile appearances, Reba's Academy of Country Music Award ensembles continue to be either big hits or major misses. From wrinkly skirts to chaotic fringe, here are the Reba McEntire outfits that left us cringing.

Back in 2004, Reba McEntire attended the 30th Annual People's Choice Awards in a two-piece ensemble, pairing a sleeveless turtleneck top with a floor-length skirt made of synthetic material. The country star wore her red locks in a layered pixie cut, opting for dark eyeshadow and dangly earrings. While her beauty look was on point, the bottom half of this outfit is really where things fall apart. The skirt looked a bit more like a rendition of the crinkly parachute pants that dominated the '80s than elegant formalwear. The monochrome element also doesn't work, because the two pieces are noticeably different shades of black. What should have been sleek and stylish was ultimately a slouchy sartorial misstep.

Reba McEntire took the stage as a presenter at the 40th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards back in 2005, wearing a bright green silk top and black pants featuring studded detailing. She sported a shoulder-length cut with upturned layers and side-swept bangs. For makeup, she dabbed a little white shadow in the inner corner of her eye and donned a glossy lip color. Silk should feel luxurious and chic, especially in such an eye-catching color, but this top looks a bit cheap and ill-fitted, featuring bunched detailing on either strap, an asymmetrical neckline, and ribbons of silk hanging down on one side.

Reba McEntire has worn a lot of fringed looks over the years, with the music star donning a white gown with this type of western-inspired detailing for the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2018. The floor-length dress featured a halter top neckline with a line of fringe hanging diagonally from the shoulder to the opposite hip, giving the appearance that Reba was wearing a beauty pageant sash to the star-studded event. While this could have been a cool effect in theory, the execution of the fringe look definitely left us with a feeling of cringe.

One of the outfits that landed Reba McEntire on our worst-dressed list is the patterned green suit she wore to the 2024 Emmy Awards. The emerald green ensemble featured a reflective, paisley pattern and was layered over a shimmery silver top. "The Voice" star styled the look with a peachy-toned eyeshadow and an updo-and-bangs combo. While McEntire often stuns in green thanks to her firey red hair, this particular pattern and swatch pairing, especially with the silver details, was visually overwhelming in a way that just didn't work.

Lastly, Reba McEntire wore another overwhelming look to the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards, combining a sequined blazer with a pair of lace pants. The thigh-length blazer consisted of a matte lapel while the flared bottoms featured scattered pieces of fringe. While such a combo was enough texture-mixing on its own, the "Reba" star opted for a super chunky, topaz necklace with a matching ring and earrings. McEntire wore her hair in an updo with face-framing pieces and opted for a peach-toned lip color. Unfortunately, her pretty beauty look wasn't enough to salvage all that was happening with her outfit.
