5 Neutral Monochrome Outfits Meghan Markle Absolutely Slayed

While Meghan Markle might have relinquished her royal titles, she's certainly the queen of monochromatic styling. The trend is simply choosing one tone and creating a look entirely of that single color, with a few exceptions allowed for shoes and accessories in other colors. While some favor bold hues, Meghan goes for nude and neutral tones to craft outfits that are sumptuous and evocative of quiet luxury. It's a real hit for Meghan, and this makes sense because single-toned fits are trending hard. Monochromatic white, winter outfits are everything, as are white summer tones from head to toe. The Duchess of Sussex knows all about this, and has nailed the trend herself by often choosing coordinating pieces in whites and creams, even matching the shoes!

While Meghan has sported a number of looks that were too spicy to wear as a royal, she consistently goes for beiges, creams, and browns. She'll sport the style in combinations consisting of wide-leg trousers and blouses, sharp suits, or skirts and tops as well as dresses. The fits are beautiful and carefully curated, showing that Meghan knows what's up when it comes to simple, tonal dressing.

Meghan Markle looks polished in browns

While attending a Netflix event for the screening of "The After" in December 2023, Meghan Markle opted for an all-brown outfit. She moderated a panel with David Oyelowo and Misan Harriman in a chocolate brown suit with a tonal turtleneck. She wore her hair pulled back in a low ponytail and kept accessories to a minimum. The perfect workwear look gave Meghan an effortless professionalism, while still remaining chic and feminine. She added dark pumps as the final piece. The minimalist outfit was all about shape and structure thanks to the sharp tailoring of the blazer and trousers, and Meghan's choice to match her top to the suit gave the streamlined ensemble a wearable charm.

Megan wore a silk pinstripe skirt set for a panel

Meghan Markle spoke on a panel at the South by Southwest Conference called "Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen" in March 2024. For the event, Meghan wore a bone-colored button-up Husband blouse and the Lena maxi skirt set by Giuliva Heritage. The pinstripe pattern on both the top and midi-length skirt worked beautifully for a professional yet flowy vibe. Keeping the look monochromatic, Meghan finished off by wearing white flats from Valentino. Part of Meghan's charm at curating these tonal outfits is keeping jewelry and accessories to a minimum, so that the overall effect is visually simple. She wore gold hoop earrings and did without a necklace or any other forms of embellishment.

Meghan Markle went for a chocolate brown ensemble in Colombia

While speaking at EAN University in Colombia in 2024, Meghan Markle exclusively pulled from the brown collection of her wardrobe. For the monochromatic getup, Meghan wore a brown button-up blouse by Victoria Beckham and silky, wide-leg trousers called the Colby by La Ligne. Keeping with the warm tones, Meghan wore toffee-colored Aquazurra strappy heels, and brought out some gold jewelry. She wore a gold Cartier necklace and citrine earrings from Birks. People really responded to Meghan's brown outfit. On X, formerly known as Twitter, a fan wrote: "That outfit is definitely Duchess Meghan's color." Another chimed in, "This color is gorgeous on her." Clearly, the all-brown ensemble was a huge hit.

Meghan Markle went casual chic in white with black touches

When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry visited the village of San Basilio de Palenque in Colombia in 2024, they opted for light, neutral tones. Harry wore beige slacks with a blue button-down shirt. Meanwhile, Meghan's single-tone outfit seemed more deliberately styled with its all-white shades, with a few hints of black. She wore a white tank top by Argent and tucked this into a midi-length pencil skirt in white from Posse. She wore a Hannia Char straw hat, woven by Colombian artists, in natural beige with a black ribbon, and incorporated the black in her calfskin sandals by Emme Parsons. These simple combinations created an elegant finish on their South America visit.

Meghan Markle dressed in all cream in Düsseldorf

Meghan Markle joined Prince Harry in Düsseldorf, Germany for the 2023 Invictus Games and served a lot of monochromatic winners while she was there. At the swimming medal ceremonies, both Meghan and Harry opted for neutral outfits, but Meghan's look was particularly coordinated. She wore a long cream coat with matching cropped trousers by Cuyana and cream heels by Aquazzura. Her pants were notably high waisted, and Meghan cinched them with a matching belt and silver buckle. She finished off the look with simple earrings by Lanvin. She looked polished and relaxed in the chic, simple outfit, proving that monochrome neutrals are really a great palette for Meghan.
