5 Celebrities Who Have Totally Mastered The Wet Hair Look

The wet look is one of those timeless hairstyles that somehow looks great in every era. The sleek styling choice can be traced back to the 1950s, back when hair gel and pomade was all the rage, particularly for those who desired a pompadour. Decades later, this technique has evolved into a specific hair look designed to make the wearer look as if they've just stepped out of the shower or pool without all the drops of water falling everywhere. 

Whether you're looking to dress up or dress down, a wet look adds a bold touch to any hairstyle. It also works on a variety of textures and is easy to achieve. And, just as we've seen with the countless celebs who have mastered the slick back bun, plenty of Hollywood icons like Megan Fox, Bella Hadid, Tyla have donned the wet hair look and made it their own.

Kelly Rowland has never been afraid to switch up her hair, so it's no surprise that she can rock the wet hair look with ease. During the 77th Annual Cannes Film Festival in May 2024, the Destiny's Child singer sported the sleek look in the form of a blond, French bob.

The "One, Two Step," singer also had that pregnancy glow as she was carrying her fourth child with husband Russell Wilson. She showed off her belly in a flowing white top and gold decorations on her belly.

During a Savage x Fenty event in October 2024, she looked like a boss with a shoulder-length, sleek bob that featured a dramatic side part. Not to mention, her outfit was stunning!

The look combined with the glam outfit showed us just how the wet hair look can be elevated for a night out, a date, or even a business meeting. It seems the singer's fans approved of the 'do, too, with her hairstylist, Yusef receiving plenty of praise for the style on Instagram.
