Beth Dutton From Yellowstone Is Gorgeous In Real Life
If you're a fan of "Yellowstone," then you're probably acquainted with the character, Beth Dutton. As the only daughter in the Dutton family, Beth is hard drinking, angry and bitter (for obvious reasons, but we're not here for spoilers), and essentially the hot mess of the family — which is saying something. Also, having endured a variety of traumas, Beth has some physical and emotional scars.
Because her character is so hardened from her past, as well as her present, it might be difficult to see the beauty behind it all, but it's there. When you strip the character away, you're left with Kelly Reilly, an English actress who's been in the business for over 20 years and who has made Beth Dutton not only unforgettable, but one of the most iconic female characters on television. "I'm not the antithesis [of Beth], but I certainly think for me, it's more about a feeling than accessorizing," Reilly told Good Housekeeping in December 2024. "The spirit of the West — the idea of a land that was fought for, and we're trying to protect and steward — I think that's something everyone can understand. There's something about the romance of the West ... As someone from South London, it truly takes my breath away."
While we get to enjoy the tough and abrasive façade of Beth Dutton on-screen, Kelly Reilly is much softer off-screen. She's also been in a whole slew of movies where both her talent and her natural beauty have shone. After all, who can forget her as Mr. Bingley's snobby sister, Caroline, in 2005's "Pride & Prejudice"?
When not playing Beth Dutton, Kelly Reilly keeps things calm and peaceful
In November 2024, Kelly Reilly talked to Town & Country about how much she loves her anonymity, especially the fact that some fans only know her as Beth Dutton. "I quite like that they don't know my actual name. I'm very private. I don't want people to know where I am, what I'm doing, my inner workings," Reilly told the magazine, adding that it feels "rebellious" to stay out of the limelight in that way.
Even though "Yellowstone" has garnered fans all over the world and is even impacting fashion, for example the denim trends you'll be seeing everywhere in 2025, when Reilly isn't working, she steers clear of all the hoopla. "I don't participate in the noise in any way. I stay out of it," Reilly told Town & Country. "The only safe place for me is in the work — and then home with my husband. Very boring."
In December 2024, "Yellowstone" officially came to an end with its final episode. "It was like, 'Let's just give it your whole heart and give these characters and the show the ending that they deserve,'" Reilly told People in November 2024. With Beth Dutton in her past, it will be exciting to see what Reilly does next. She's already proven she can do Shakespeare, period films like "Pride & Prejudice," and even comedies with "Greek Salad" and the "L'Auberge Espagnole" trilogy before that, so clearly Reilly is capable of anything — in addition to being an all-around gorgeous person.
