Zoe Saldana Still Turns Heads Going Makeup Free

Zoe Saldaña is undeniably beautiful, and it's not thanks to makeup — she usually wears little to none. The sci-fi queen, known for her roles in "Avatar" and "The Guardians of the Galaxy," has been seen embracing no-makeup looks since the 00s, and her mom seems to be responsible for it. The actor told Allure, "My mother was a hippie and very health conscious, so growing up she always encouraged my sisters and I to be as natural as possible."

Not everyone opts to go bare faced, but Zoe is able to pull it off effortlessly and embraces her natural radiance. And, it's not just Zoe. More and more celebs, like Pamela Anderson and Kate Winslet, have chosen to go au naturel, and it's refreshing to see. While genetics play a big factor in whether you have a baby face or mature face, studies show lifestyle factors also play a part, too.

Saldaña is big about keeping her personal life under wraps. When asked about her privacy, the "Lioness" actor told the Daily News "I'm an American, I'm a citizen, I vote, I pay taxes, therefore I have the right to my own privacy as much as anybody." The badass woman knows what she wants and she's not afraid to demand it. On top of genetics and a healthy lifestyle, the 46-year-old actor's drama-free existence just might be the secret to her looking so flawless even when she's makeup free.

The actor's self-loving mindset just might be the key to her timeless beauty

While wearing makeup may make you more attractive, some women, especially those who are confident in their skin, will wear less of it. Even at award shows, you'll rarely see Zoe Saldaña in a full face of makeup. When it comes to getting glammed up, she likes to go for a glowing and fresh complexion. When she's off-duty, she opts to wear no makeup.

And, while she's naturally gorgeous, the actor must have some secrets to maintaining her youthful appearance. She'll often post her workouts on her Instagram and has said she likes to focus on interval training to move more efficiently. She also seems to prioritize wellness and balance in all aspects of her life, as she told Shape in 2017 that she focuses on nutrition to compensate for not being able to work out consistently. "Once you have relatively healthy eating habits, your workout can become playing with your kids, strolling around the neighborhood, playing airplane, or just changing diapers," the actor said (via Entertainment Tonight).

The mom of three also prioritizes self-love and acceptance over anything, saying, "I've never wanted different hair or my body any other shape. And I've never thought of a person as ugly unless they opened their mouth and their heart was full of venom." And, maybe the love she has for herself is what really keeps her radiantly glowing at any age.
