The On-Trend Nail Polish Colors You'll Be Seeing Everywhere Spring 2025

With the change of seasons comes a change in nail colors. The on-trend spring 2025 colors are a cheerful variety of pastels, whites and neutrals, as well as neon, so there's something for everyone. Bright nails are certainly a great way to welcome spring, but for 2025, nude manicures are equally captivating, such as the ever-popular linen nail. For those who want a little more art and design, butterfly nails provide an adorable, fresh look. There's no end to the possibilities of ringing in spring with joyful nails, as we retire the darker shades that are better suited to winter, like moody merlots and charcoals.

To make sure that the colors we're choosing are on-trend, Women.com spoke with celebrity nail artist Elle Gerstein. Our expert gave us the inside scoop on the specific colors to opt for, and we have several options to work with. In fact, they're all so beautiful that we're wishing spring lasted longer.

Soft nudes and beiges are perfect neutrals for spring

Elle Gerstein exclusively told Women.com that natural-looking manicures like soap nails are expected to continue their reign this spring, particularly those with a slightly pinkish or nude base. "[Soft nudes, beiges, and pinks] not only work great for the soap trend, but offer a sophisticated look that's always elevated, timeless and red carpet ready for all my celebrities." With the soap trend, the polish tends to be a little bit sheer, creating nails that appear clean and fresh. Reach for a polish like OPI Nail Lacquer in Coconuts to achieve the look.

Soft pinks are a sweet choice for spring

Pink is the new neutral. Elle Gerstein told Women.com that in addition to beiges and nudes, a soft pink can work for all occasions. "I love [these tones] for isolated chrome designs too." Isolated chrome designs are when you apply chrome powder to certain areas of the nail to create art and designs. Think chrome flowers, swirls, or stars.

White nails are the bright spot of spring

Who said white has to be limited to snowy winter nails? "What I'm really loving right now is whites, including off whites, creams and bright whites like Mineral Fusion Ice Breaker, which is the perfect bright white for a manicured look," Gerstein told Women.com. She added that the color looks like a blank canvas, which gives it a statement-making quality despite being a solid color. Gerstein added that opting for a slightly off-white shade is a great option as it plays well with other tones. "A cream pairs well with a neon or hot pink and a gold for an amazing color combination together," she said.

Pastel lavender is like a garden on your fingers

While any pastel is a solid option during any spring, lavender incorporates the delight of seeing buds and blossoms in the season of growth. One of Gerstein's favorite polishes for capturing this mood is Morgan Taylor Can't Burst My Bubble, which features a bright, lilac hue. To lean more into the floral trend, paint lavender sprigs on an accent nail.

Pastel mint is a chic choice for spring

Mint green is evocative of fresh growth, which makes it ideal for the season. Best of all, there's also a lot of wiggle room when it comes this shade. There are earthier, richer tones and candy-colored mints that are playful and bright. There's even sea foam green that's perfect for channeling mermaid vibes. Elle Gerstein told Women.com that her personal favorite is Mineral Fusion Mint To Be because it's a classic mint tone that's flattering on any skin tone.

Go for a cheerful mani with baby blue

While seafoam green and lavender are great options for those who want to embrace floral vibes, baby blue offers a different take on spring. The light, cool hue mimics the color of a spring time sky, bringing to mind lightness and bright, warm days. "Pastels leaning towards soft light shades like lavender, mint, peach and baby blues, which are really great and give an airy vibe," Gerstein told Women.com.

For electric power, go for neon nails this spring

Don't think that spring trends are only soft, subtle tones. Neon nails are expected to be everywhere in spring 2025, which is great for those who love a manicure with a bit of oomph. "Neons, going with really bright colors for an energetic manicure," Elle Gerstein told Women.com as her mantra for a brighter palette. "Think electric orange, bright pink and fun colors that have energy. Any skin tone can pair with these, but they are great for someone who wants to make a bold statement with nail trends." Gerstein also raved about the fun design possibilities that neon offers. "Neons also best lend themselves to designs featuring negative space/isolated chromes, abstract, tie dye and swirls, all trending for spring," she said.

Corals and peaches are glorious spring tones

Coral and peach polish is warm but robust, so it's a great middle ground for those who want a transitional nail for the warmer months. Elle Gerstein loves these, too, and listed these tones amongst the trendiest colors for spring 2025. "Coral and peach are really big this year as Kelly Ripa at the Oscars proved," she exclusively told Women.com. "They are fantastic for warm and neutral undertones, but you can find one that's universal enough for all. I also love coral for tie dyes and as bold accent as well." Gerstein also noted that these shades work well with accent tones, like golds and sparkles. "I like adding glitter and shimmer to a coral or peach, especially to add another dimension to it," she said. "If you're not sure it goes with your skin tone, adding a glitter will ensure that it does." Opt for a shade like Essie Salon Quality polish in Peach Side Babe and layer with YKZFUI Gold Nail Glitter for a perfect spring manicure with a subtle touch of glam.
