Throwback Snaps Of Melania Trump Remind Us What A Supermodel Stunner She's Always Been

Melania Trump always was — and always will be — a hot girl. Political affiliations aside, there's no denying that the former supermodel can totally stun, and nothing has taken that power of hers away. Certainly, she's been embroiled in ongoing controversy, largely thanks to her husband, President Donald Trump. Even their relationship has come under scrutiny; there's no denying the red flags in Donald and Melania's marriage. It's prompted many to ask whether or not they'll last. However, for fans of the couple, according to astrology, Melania and Donald's marriage will stand the test of time. Hey, they're compatible.

In part, their compatibility may have something to do with how attracted Donald is to his wife. And why wouldn't he be? She's gorgeous. The duo met in 1998, when Melania was in New York working as a model. She caught his attention, and her supermodel good looks likely had something to do with that. She's remained attractive, too, over the many decades that Melania has been in the spotlight. She also dresses the part. Melania's lavish outfits, with their jaw-dropping price tags, contribute to this glamorous mystique she has carried over the years.

Melania Trump's supermodel era is something to see

Melania Trump was in her modeling heyday in the 1990s, and moved to New York to expand her career in 1996. It's no surprise that Melania was pursuing global success. Standing tall at 5'11" with a rocking body and that piercing gaze, nothing would stand in her way. But it wasn't an easy path paved for her. Melania had to work hard and stay focused on her goal.

Fellow model Victoria Silvstedt, who lived with Melania in Paris in 1994 before the latter moved to the United States, told WWD that the now-first lady was a workhorse. "At the beginning of your career, you would run to 12 castings a day with your model book, competing with hundreds of girls at each casting," Silvstedt said of her former roommate. "We basically would spend the day on the Métro, on the subway underground." Later, Silvstedt said: "[Melania] would never go out and want to party. She was very determined, very serious in her work."

That combination of stunning good looks and work ethic would pay off. One of Melania's biggest ad campaigns happened in 1999, where she worked on the Concord Watch campaign. She worked with photographer Peter Arnell, who said of Melania at that time, "[Melania] represented serious luxury. She showed up extraordinarily in the photography. She was great." There's no denying Melania was the real deal.
