Bravo Stars Who Are Completely Unrecognizable Now
If you've been a longtime fan of Bravo shows, you've seen some of the stars' dramatic physical changes over the years. Whether it be celebs who totally transformed after taking Ozempic, or stars who got entirely new faces from plastic surgery, the before-and-after pics of several Bravolebrities are jaw-dropping. And, it's not just the natural aging process that has altered their looks. Some have admitted to getting a bit of nip and tuck, while others remain tight-lipped about possible procedures, but eagle-eyed viewers can detect a noticeable change in their appearance.
It's natural for reality stars to want to a glow-up, especially when living out their lives in the public eye. However, certain famous faces have gone way overboard with injectables and other enhancements, making them look totally different from their television debut. While changes appear subtle over time, when looking back at Bravo stars years ago, it's amazing how they look like a completely different person.
Melissa Gorga's facial changes are on display
When Melissa Gorga joined "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast in Season 3, she was a housewife raising three kids with a dream of a singing career. Now, she runs a clothing franchise and a sprinkle cookie business, but her career isn't the only thing that's evolved. Since first appearing on the franchise, Melissa's nose appears to have dramatically slimmed down, while her lips plumped up. Fans had been speculating about her apparent rhinoplasty for years, but the New Jersey native adamantly denied having one and instead attributed her smaller nose to makeup tricks.
In 2016, the "On Display" singer finally 'fessed up to having a nose job, telling Bravo's The Daily Dish, "It's a personal thing. It's not hurting anyone. It's your own business. Some people like to say, 'Hey, I injected this, tummy tucked this,' and that's fine, too. It's something that's personal to me. It's one of the very few things that is personal in my life at this point." Melissa continued, "I have children, and there are certain things I don't feel like I need to blurt all over the world. That's private, it has to do with me, myself and I. That was one of the things I wanted to keep to myself. Unfortunately, I had a crappy friend who has told the world for me." As for whether she's had four rhinoplasties like her then-castmate Jacqueline Laurita claimed, Melissa shared, "There was definitely not four nose jobs."
Kathy Griffin has had multiple surgeries
With the ever-so-popular "Real Housewives" and "Below Deck" franchises, many Bravo fans may not remember the mid-aughts gem, "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List." Starring Kathy Griffin, the show centered around the television personality trying to rise the ranks of Hollywood as a self-proclaimed D-lister. Although the show aired almost two decades ago, it looks like Griffin has aged backwards, thanks to the help of several facelifts. Unlike her "Fashion Police" co-host Kelly Osbourne, who has denied having plastic surgery, Griffin revealed in an August 5 episode of her YouTube channel that she had just gotten a facelift. "By the way, this is my third," she shared. "I know that's so vain! I'm so vain for no reason. No one has ever gone to a Kathy Griffin show to see her beautiful, youthful face," the stand-up comedian joked.
As reported by People in 2009, Griffin also admitted to having a nose job in her autobiography, "Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin." Early on in her career, she had been told that getting her nose fixed would make her more attractive, so she decided to go for it at the age of 26. "You would think I had a nose the size of Texas. I was young and impressionable and I was told that enough that I started to believe it, so I got a nose job," she wrote.
Larsa Pippen is one of the most dramatic transformations in Bravo history
Larsa Pippen was one of the OGs of "The Real Housewives of Miami," having starred in the show for just one season before it was put on pause after Season 3. During her reality debut, Larsa was a young housewife married to Scottie Pippen with naturally gorgeous features. Back then, she sported a slim figure and wore her hair in a dark brunette shade with caramel highlights. Fast forward to "RHOM" Season 4 a decade later, and the mom of four looked completely different with an hourglass figure and the most laid-back, breezy dream girl blonde.
With Larsa's noticeably plumped-up derriere, there was speculation that she had gotten a Brazilian butt lift, which she shut down during the "RHOM" Season 4 reunion (via Page Six). "I've had my nose done. I've had my lips done. And that's basically it," she insisted. Over the years, fans have seen the reality star's lips expand, and a plastic surgeon pointed out Larsa's overuse of fillers on her cheeks as well in an August 7 Instagram post. The "RHOM" star clapped back with, "Honey I had PRP and had an allergic reaction so chill out." Unsurprisingly, fans weren't quick to believe her, and many begged her to dissolve her fillers, pointing out that she looked way better in her before photo.
Brittany Cartwright went from natural to glam over her reality television years
Brittany Cartwright's first public foray into plastic surgery was when she allowed Jax Taylor to pay for a breast augmentation during Season 4 of "Vanderpump Rules." At the time, she just wanted to go up a cup size, but Taylor convinced her that bigger was better. Over the next seven seasons, fans have watched Cartwright's facial features change, noting the higher arch to her brows and fuller cheeks. However, she told Glamour in 2018, "I haven't had any plastic surgery on my face ... I had Botox once six months ago. I don't even know if it's still in there anymore. I had Kybella under my chin a while ago. But I also lost 25 pounds. I hate when people say I got a nose job or my lips done, because I lose weight in my face."
Cartwright went for a more dramatic transformation before shooting "The Valley" in 2024. Viewers saw her in a scene with her then-husband, Jax Taylor, sporting a bandage around her head. The mom of one explained on the "When Reality Hits with Brittany Cartwright" podcast, "Three weeks before we started filming, I had work done on my double chin. He did a little bit of lipo under my double chin. And then he did this thing called Morpheus8." She added, "For [the] majority of the season, it's going to look like whenever I'm upset or something, that I've got, like, a frowning face."
Nene Leakes had a major glow-up
Nene Leakes had been with "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" since Season 1 until her final departure ahead of Season 13, and if you were following the show since the beginning, you're aware of her drastic physical changes. She was never one to shy away from admitting to plastic surgery, and in fact, even documented her nose job, breast reduction, and stomach liposuction during "RHOA" Season 3. Leakes' surgeries didn't end there either. She revealed a second rhinoplasty on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" in 2016. "My cartilage was growing in my nose, and my tip was touching the top of my lip," the "Glee" star explained, per Bravo.
Leakes seems to be getting even more tweaks made on her face, as her nose is even smaller than before and her face looks mighty snatched for an almost-60-year-old, which fans noted in an Instagram pic shared on June 10. "So, no one else thinks that she looks completely different from when we first started seeing her?" one replied. Another wrote, "Call it a backhanded compliment, but we see your glow up and you like to deny that you had anything done at all! You do not look like the same person from season one." We bet even Leakes doesn't recognize herself in the mirror!
