Brittany Mahomes Can't Escape Rumors About Her Love Life

Brittany Mahomes, wife to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has been plagued by love life rumors. Due to some icy body language between the two in videos circulating the internet, people have been speculating that the couple is heading for divorce. As much as the couple has worked to quell the gossip, people still speculate about the longevity of their relationship. 

Brittany and Patrick began dating in 2012; they were high school sweethearts and met at Whitehouse High School in Texas. They both went off to different colleges in Texas and later, both pursued their athletic careers. Brittany played soccer in Iceland while Patrick was selected in an NFL draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. In spite of the long distance, the two continued building a relationship together. Patrick proposed in September 2020 and, shortly after, the two announced that they were expecting their first child. They welcomed daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes in February 2021 and they married in Hawaii in March 2022. They have since welcomed two more children, son Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III and daughter, Golden Raye. In spite of this, it's hard to ignore these red flags in Brittany and Patrick's relationship. But they're not alone. Fellow Kansas City Chiefs girlie Taylor Swift has been subject to some wild relationship rumors over the years, and NFL superstar Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's relationship was plagued with rumors that predicted their divorce. So Brittany and Patrick are not the only ones that have had to face public relationship speculation. 

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes walked the red carpet for the 2025 ESPN docuseries "The Kingdom" about the Kansas City Chiefs season in 2024. However, in a video of them on the red carpet, the two came off as distant and frosty towards each other. They posed separately and seemed ambivalent about reconnecting in any kind of close way. It was odd because Brittany and Patrick usually pack on the PDA. 

Brittany has addressed relationship tension before, largely from other women pursuing her husband. During a Q&A on Instagram, a fan asked how she deals with other women flirting with her husband. "Lol it's actually really sad how disrespectful some women are...But they are a waist [sic] of my time & not going to disturb my peace," Brittany said, per People. However, Brittany shared that she's made progress on this front. "But I did use to have a very hard time and get extremely annoyed," she added. "But I am now to a point where I could care less!" In spite of the rumors around divorce, and the struggles with flirtation from outside sources, Brittany and Patrick seem to be moving forward. Perhaps that frosty treatment on the red carpet was just nerves, or maybe an argument before the event. At any rate, it doesn't seem like a dire thing.
