Side By Side By Pics Of Karoline Leavitt Highlight Her Mar-A-Lago Face Transformation

Karoline Leavitt, the youngest White House Press Secretary in U.S. history, has become one of the key faces of President Donald Trump's administration. And Leavitt's face — the operative word here — has changed significantly since she started the coveted job. Spending as much time on Instagram as the rest of us, Leavitt has shared plenty of throwback photos of herself from her pre-White House days, and the comparison is truly striking. There are rumors that the Trump staffer has had plastic surgery, though it's important to note that she has not confirmed anything herself. But the speculation isn't totally without merit. In side-by-side photos comparing then and now, she does look different, as in the below tweet from September 2025.

Most noticeably, Leavitt's lips definitely look plumper. After she appeared on Fox News that very same month, Dr. Jennifer Harrington, the founder of Harrington + Associates Plastic Surgery in Minneapolis-St. Paul, spoke to the Daily Mail about the rather obvious enhancement. "[Leavitt] does appear in this interview to have enhanced fullness of her upper and lower lips, and her skin is flawless," Dr. Harrington pointed out. Indeed, there's a lot about her that's changed since she became a part of MAGA world. While the White House staffer might be actively reaching for this type of artificial perfection, she's not always able to achieve it. Leavitt has been guilty of making several relatable makeup mistakes, many of which were caught on camera. Her outfits have also fallen flat. Even worse, many of Leavitt's worst outfits all have one thing in common. In spite of these flops, it's clear that she is an aspiring MAGA Barbie in the making. 

There's a phenomenon among people in Donald Trump's inner circle, particularly the women, where they undergo a shocking transformation after getting close to the president. This plastic surgery trend, which is colloquially called "Mar-A-Lago face," is taking over MAGA world. The trend hinges upon an aesthetic that's largely removed from reality; lip injections, perfectly smooth skin, lashes larger than life, and big blowouts are all key elements of the look, as is heavy makeup day or night, regardless of the occasion. While high-profile figures like Kimberly Guilfoyle, Lara Trump, and Kristi Noem are the faces of the growing plastic surgery trend, Karoline Leavitt has clearly fallen prey to it as well. 

In a throwback photo on Instagram, which she posted in July 2017 (above left), the future White House staffer smiles directly at the camera, seemingly makeup free. She began serving as Trump's press secretary in January 2025, so this was long before that. And yet, over a relatively short span of time, Leavitt's lips have become bigger, while her makeup is always intense and camera-ready. Likewise, the Trump staffer's hair is edging closer to that big, MAGA blowout style too. Her lashes are fuller but this is likely because Leavitt's job is public-facing, so it's only natural that she wants to look her very best. But, on the other hand, these startling side-by-side photos suggest her transformation has only just begun.
