Over the weekend, citizens of the world gathered together and peacefully marched for feminism and women's rights.

The second annual international Women's March continues to inspire people from all cultures to stand up for equality and a brighter future for all.

The most influential people in my life have always been women. My family, my friends, my teachers, my colleagues, and my idols. I am obsessed with all the women in my life. I adore them and need them more and more every day. I am so grateful to be a woman, I wouldn't change it for the world. I hope I'm not only defined by my gender though. I hope I'm defined by my input to the world, my ability to love and to have empathy. To raise my son to be a a good man alongside the good man who loves me for everything I am and am not. I don't want my daughters to grow up in a world where they don't have control of their bodies. A woman I marched with on Saturday was a college student at University of Illinois in the 60s & told me about the time she drove a friend to get an illegal abortion in Chicago. It may seem like reproductive rights have always been here and will continue on, but everyday they are being eroded. Support your local @plannedparenthood and fight for your rights! @womensmarch
