Will Donald Trump declare war and attack North Korea?

While North Korea has threatened the United States on multiple occasions in recent history, it has never followed through with any of them.

The U.S. actually remains the only country to have ever used nuclear weapons on the battlefield (against Hiroshima and Nagasaki).

Despite Trump's recent threats, the United States does not want to attack North Korea and risk escalating into nuclear war.

Trump's ‘Fire and Fury' Threats and Tweets

North Korea has now stated that it is "carefully considering" a missile strike on the U.S. after President Trump said, "North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen."

Wednesday morning, Trump doubled down on his threats via Twitter:

In the event of full-blown war between North Korea and the United States, we can only hope that the United States military is strong enough that there will be no need to resort to nuclear weapons.

Until then, Americans will be anxiously waiting to see what these two countries' unpredictable leaders threaten next.
