A Step-by-Step Guide to Recreating Constance Wu's Romantic Golden Globe's Beauty Look

From Lady Gaga's powder blue hair to Sandra Oh's old Hollywood glamour look, the stars brought it on the red carpet at this year's Golden Globes.

One of our favorite looks of the night came from Crazy Rich Asians star Constance Wu. Her soft and romantic glam caught our attention the moment she stepped onto the carpet.

We were so obsessed, in fact, that we reached out to her makeup artist Molly Greenwald for a how to on achieving this stunning look. Scroll below for your step-by-step guide to getting this look at home!

About the Look

Upon deciding on her dress for the evening, Constance knew exactly what time of makeup look she wanted.

"Constance had a vision immediately upon trying on the ethereal Custom Vera Wang nude gown," Molly says. "She desired a cascading romantic braid with an essence of woodland fairy. I knew I wanted to keep the makeup clean and healthy with glowing skin, fluffy lashes, and a flushed pout."

The look was then created using all Shiseido products, including some new and old favorites. Seeing as Constance is a huge fan of the brand, it made sense that they were used by Molly to give Constance her stunning glow.

Step 1: Prep Skin

Before applying any makeup, it's critical to prep your skin with Shiseido's Refreshing Cleansing Water.

If you really want to make sure your skin is plumped and ready for the next steps, Molly recommends using the Benefiance Intensive Revitalizing Face Mask, Bio Performance Glow Revival Serum, Bio Performance Glow Revival Cream, and Benefiance Wrinkle Resist 24 Eye Cream.

Step 2: Apply Foundation

Once your complexion is all set, it's time to even out your skin with a pump of the Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation.

Molly used Golden in 3 and 4 to create Constance's look.

Step 3: Apply Concealer

Next, Molly applied the Perfecting Stick Concealer in medium around the eyes and nose.

Step 4: Apply Lipstick

via Shiseido

To achieve Constance's pretty pout, Molly used Shiseido's VisionAiry Gel Lipstick in Streaming Mauve. This color looks great on any skin tone, so don't even bother trying to find a different shade.

Step 5: Contour the Eyes

via Shiseido

Next, Molly added some subtle shade and contoured the eyes using the Eye Kajal InkArtist in 01 Tea House.

This liner is perfect for those who don't like to fuss over their makeup, because it works as shadow, liner, and a brow pencil. What more could you ask for?

Step 6: Apply Mascara

Molly finished the eyes with a coat of Controlled Chaos Mascara Ink, which will be available in March. Be sure to mark your calendars, because you won't want to miss out on this incredible mascara.

Step 7: Apply Eyeshadow

via Shiseido

To complete the eye look, Molly pressed Aura Dew in Solar into the center of the lid.

Not only will this work on your lids, but it can even be used as highlighter.

Step 8: Apply Blush

To warm and flush out the skin, Molly then used a combination of Minimalist Whipped Powder Blush in Momoko and Eiko. She also added Aura Dew in Cosmic on the cheeks to create an ethereal glow.
