We're terrified for both Father Gabriel and Harlan Carson, as reported by Metro. In a spoiler report by The Spoiling Dead Fans, which is a fan forum on the show, it looks like everything goes wrong for Gabriel and Carson on their journey to Hilltop.

Before Carson dies, he reveals some information about Gabriel's illness which is basically a death sentence in TWD. It looks like Gabriel is slowly going blind. But, can it be reversed? In an interview with Express.co.uk, Payne hinted at the change in dynamics after Carl's death, both on and off screen.
"You can predict certain things from the comic books and certain things have happened and played out," Payne said. "But it really does change everything up. For everyone." Payne also mentioned that Carl's death shocked everyone, making it clear that no one on The Walking Dead cast was safe from death. "If Carl dies, then anyone's fair game," Payne added. "We all definitely thought that he was never going to die."
