Oh No: This Theory Has Us Fearing the Worst for Amelia in 'Grey's Anatomy'
Grey's Anatomy season 15 has put a lot of pressure on the hearts of fans. From losing Cece (Caroline Clay) after the midseason finale to almost losing Betty (Peyton Kennedy) after a community-wide overdose, there's been plenty to worry about. However, there have been a lot less worrying about what's ahead for some of our series regulars – and not going to lie, that makes us pretty nervous. This is Grey's Anatomy, after all. That being said, something happened in Grey's Anatomy season 15 episode 14 that makes us ponder what's coming for Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone). So is season 15 setting Amelia up to leave or die? One theory has us second-guessing everything we know.

Will Amelia Run Away on 'Grey's Anatomy'?
Like we mentioned before, in the episode "I Want a New Drug," Betty – we mean Britney, but like ABC, we're going to keep calling her Betty – almost died after an overdose. While Teddy (Kim Raver) saved her in the end, there was one scene that stuck out.
After finding out about Betty's overdose, Link (Chris Cormack) and Amelia had a moment. But, it's not exactly what you think.
Link was infuriated by all of the patients who overdosed.
"We're in here doing our damnedest to save lives, and out there, people are just killing themselves or each other faster than we can possibly work," Link said.
Amelia, who is a recovering addict herself, asked him where he would go to get away from it all when it all seemed hopeless. Link told Amelia Barbados, and Amelia smiled and said, "That sounds pretty great, actually."
While we secretly hope that this means that Amelia and Link could potentially have a romantic future ahead of them, TV Guide had a much different theory in mind.
In an article, Megan Vick explained that now that Betty's parents had Leo and it was likely that Betty wouldn't stay with Amelia now that her parents are back in the picture, Amelia's life would proceed to fall apart as well. Vick concludes that Amelia could potentially be "planning her own exit strategy if her personal life takes another shock."
So, could this mean that fans will have to say goodbye to Amelia in season 15?
Obviously, we don't want to say goodbye to Amelia just yet. After all the progress she has made throughout the past few seasons, we don't want to see all of that development go to waste and for Amelia to just run away.
In February, Grey's Anatomy showrunner Krista Vernoff revealed that Amelia would be getting an entire episode devoted to her, so we hope that this leads to more development instead of a goodbye.
So, will Amelia leave after the fifteenth season of Grey's Anatomy? It's too early to tell, but fans will just have to keep watching.
