Look Under Your Seats! Is Oprah Running For President In 2020?

Is Oprah really running for president 2020? Does Oprah Want To Run For President? Did Oprah Say She Would Run For President? Who Is Running For President In 2020?
Is Oprah Running For President In 2020?
Personal anecdote: I once noticed my French teacher reading O Magazine so in my French presentation I said, "J'adore Oprah." Every month that followed, that wonderful teacher gave me her copy of O after she was done reading it. So, yeah, I've got a lot of feelings about Oprah.
Would I vote for Oprah for president in 2020? The answer is a resounding... maybe?
Of course, with Oprah's amazing Golden Globes speech, there have been rumblings about Oprah entering the Oval office. But this isn't the first time "Oprah" and "FUTURE PRESIDENT" have been used in the same sentence.
Possibly the most beloved person in the world has long been pinned to be a shoe-in to become a leader of our nation, especially after Trump entered office.
But has Oprah, herself, ever said anything about becoming a public servant? Is Oprah running for President in 2020 and does she even want to be president in the future?

Does Oprah Want To Run For President?
There's certainly more evidence to suggest that Oprah does not want to run for office than evidence that suggests she does.
In fact, she says "NEVER!" a lot. But to put that into perceptive, I often say "I'm never drinking again," and we all know how that turns out.
In January 2017, Stephen Colbert asked if Winfrey if Michelle Obama would run for office. Oprah said, "Never!" to which Colbert asked, "Is there any other charismatic African-American woman that both sides of the political aisle really love?"
Again, she said "Never. No, no, no."
In June 2017, on a podcast with The Hollywood Reporter, she was asked if she would win a race against Trump. She firmly said, "I will never have to know the answer to that, because I will never run for public office."
In October, on 60 Minutes, co-anchor and best friend Gayle King asked if Oprah had a shortlist for VP candidates. Winfrey responded, "She's lost her mind now." She added, "There will be no running for office of any kind for me."
But the question remains...

Did Oprah Say She Would Run For President?
The Queen of Daytime TV (and of my heart, if we're being honest.) has certainly led others into believing she may make a run for President.
For instance, in September columnist John Podhoretz wrote that Oprah may be the Democrat's best hope for 2020... Oprah then tweeted the article out to her millions of followers, thanking Podhoretz for his "vote of confidence."

Is Oprah Running For President?
Of course, the greatest evidence for a 2020 run would be her acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille award at the Golden Globes. While not directly speaking about running for office, she certainly seemed that she would when we read between the lines.
She said, "A new day is on the horizon! And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say 'Me too' again."
Nothing says "I'm going to run for president," quite like drawing up images of "a new day."
On top of that, there are "close sources" that say Oprah is considering a presidential bid.
I already have a suggestion for her campaign slogan. It's something we can all relate to...

What Did Trump Say To Oprah About Running For President?
WHO CARES?
Sorry, okay. Here's the real answer to that question.
When asked about Oprah, Trump told reporters, "Yeah, I'll beat Oprah... Oprah will be a lot of fun."
In fact, it kind of sounds like Trump is a big fan of Oprah. Which, like, of course. Who doesn't like Oprah?
He went on to say, "I did one of her last shows. She had Donald Trump -- this is before politics -- her last week and she had Donald Trump and my family, it was very nice."
He later said, "I like Oprah, I don't think she's going to run. I don't think she's going to run."
Back in 1999, he even told Larry King that Oprah would "always be my first choice" for a running mate. (Sorry Mike Pence, I know what it's like to find out you're somebody's second choice...)
By the way, where is @Oprah? Good question. 4 years ago she strongly supported Obama--now she is silent. Anyway, who cares, I adore Oprah.

Who Is Running For President In 2020?
We can expect Donald Trump to run for reelection in 2020, should he not be impeached by then. But who would he face off against?
According to Business Insider there are a few politicians who may through their hat into the ring.
We could see Bernie Sanders running again, former Vice President Joe Biden, New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, and California Senator Kamala Harris to name a few.
Still, only time will tell.
