A gripping novel about the whirlwind rise of an iconic fictional 1970s rock group and their beautiful lead singer, revealing the mystery behind their infamous breakup. This book has it all; sex, drugs, and rock & roll. It's also an easy read, as it's written in interview style with only dialogue.
3. It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover
There's a reason everyone's talking about this book! Not your ordinary love story, this novel will "dig its claws into you and doesn't let go, long after you've finished it". Beautifully tackling a difficult subject, this novel will leave you in tears and will be one that will be handed down for generations to come. 4. Know My Name by Chanel Miller
You're probably familiar with the story of a young woman who, in 2015, was sexually assaulted on the campus of Stanford University by Brock Turner (who went on to receive minimal punishment for this crime). For years the world only knew her anonymously, but with the release of her memoir, Know My Name, Chanel Miller is reclaiming her story and her identity. This is the most powerful memoir you might ever read, but make sure to read the trigger warnings before diving in to make sure you're emotionally prepared.
5. In Five Years by Rebecca Serle
In this unexpected and striking novel, main character Dannie has everything going for her until she one day wakes up and spends one hour 5 years into her own (completely different) future. You'll likely finish this novel in one sitting and, fair warning... might leave you crying at 2 am!
