Just because you're single on Valentine's Day doesn't mean you the day can't be fun! All it takes is a little self care and a lot of self love!

It can be difficult to be single this time of year when you feel like you're surrounded by happy couples everywhere. But it doesn't have to be depressing to be single for Valentine's day, not when there are ton of different ways to make the day all about yourself and your needs.

We've come up with six different ways to take your self care and self love to a whole new level! The most important thing is to have fun and to stop neglecting yourself. After all, self care is self love.

1. Buy yourself flowers.

If you don't have anyone to buy you flowers this year, why not boy yourself flowers? The standard Valentine's Day flower is the red rose, which symbolizes love and is perfect to symbolize the love you feel for yourself.

The Narcissus, named for the man from Greek mythology of the same name, is a flower literally symbolizing self love. A type of daffodil, the flower is also goes by the name jonquil. It might be a little more difficult to get your hands on during February but is a treat if you can!

2. Make a fancy dinner.

Making yourself a nice dinner is a great way to practice self love. There isn't much better than having a nice plate (or bowl) of warm food during the cold days of February.

3. Take a bubble bath!

Taking a bath seems to top all the lists of self care. There's a reason for that! Taking a nice warm bath is so relaxing and soothes aching muscles after a long day. To have the ultimate bath, try using a bath bomb, lighting a candle, and reading a great book!

4. Watch your favorite movie.

We all have our favorite movies. A Valentine's day by yourself is probably the best time to break out your favorite movies. It's comforting to watch a movie we know so well. Adding a bag of popcorn, a box of chocolates, and a glass of wine into the equation is the ultimate way to ramp up the night.

If you aren't in the mood for a movie, watch a beloved TV show instead.
