What Roku Devices Are Incompatible With Hulu Live TV?

Fortunately Hulu has released a list of what Roku devices are incompatible with Hulu Live TV. This list also includes a list of the compatible Hulu Live TV devices.

When Hulu Live TV was released recently the Live TV update recieved a lot of negative press, especially with their Roku users. The update revealed many bugs and device incompatibility issues. Here is a list of the incompatible and compatible Roku devices for Hulu Live TV.
Incompatible Roku Devices For Hulu Live TV:
These additional devices support the classic Hulu experience, which all subscribers can use to access the Hulu streaming library.
Hulu with Live TV subscribers can also use these devices, but live programming will not be available.
- Roku 2 or earlier
- Roku Streaming Stick (model 3500 or earlier)
PLEASE NOTE: ** Roku devices must be running on version 2.8 (build 1158) or above. If you'd like more information about upgrading to the latest version, please visit the Roku's site.**
Compatible Roku Devices For Hulu Live TV:
Newer Roku models are able to get the most recent Hulu application – which, depending on your subscription plan, allows you to access the Hulu streaming library, live television, premium networks (HBO, Cinemax, SHOWTIME), and all of the latest features.
- Roku Ultra
- Roku Premiere and Premiere+
- Roku Express and Express+
- Roku 3 and 4
- Roku Streaming Stick (model 3600)
- Roku TV
All devices must be updated to firmware version 4135 or higher to access the new Hulu experience. For more information about upgrading your version, visit Roku's site.

Additionally, you can access the new Hulu experience on your PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 to watch Hulu on-demand. By adding your favorite premium network to your subscription, you'll also be able to get on-demand access to HBO, Cinemax, or SHOWTIME.
Subscribers to the Hulu with Live TV plan can also get early access to live TV via their computer's web browser via beta.hulu.com.
