From 80's romps to modern day mafia movies, these characters are part of a dynamic duo. Based on true stories, or based on characters from the mind of Stephen King, you'll be thoroughly entertained with our list of options. So grab a buddy to see what these twins are up to!

1. Parent Trap

Starring: Lindsay Lohan, Natasha Richardson, and Dennis Quaid

Based on the original 1961 movie of the same, the Parker twins are up to no good in this delightful comedy. When Hallie and Annie meet at camp, they come to a puzzling realization... they're long-lost twins. Now they are set on getting their parents back together before Meredith Blake (great name for an antagonist) swoops in to marry hunky Nick Parker. This movie is a delight and should be part of your movie nights every once in a while.

2. Legend

Starring: Tom Hardy, Emily Browning, and Aaron Egerton.

Based on the true story of the Kray brothers who terrorized London in the 1960s, Tom Hardy plays levelheaded Reggie AND unstable twin, Ronnie. You'll be utterly impressed by Hardy's ability to play two very different brothers. Exciting and a little violent, Legend will make you re-think the notion that all twins are similar.

3. The Prestige

Starring: Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, and Scarlett Johansson

Two rival magicians feud bitterly in this Christopher Nolan thriller. The twist is outstanding and you should watch this underrated film, ASAP. With David Bowie as Nikola Tesla, this movie will have you on the edge of your seat and mystified.

4. It Takes Two

Starring: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Kristie Alley, and Steve Guttenberg

When rich, Alyssa meets orphan, Amanda in the woods one summer, their lives are changed forever. In a Parent Trap style, the two switch places and attempt to get their caregivers, Kristie Alley and Steve Guttenberg, together. With perfect 90's outfits and a soundtrack to match, why wouldn't the most popular twins in America create a perfect twin movie?

5. Twins

Starring: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito

Separated at birth, Vincent and Julius are reconnected in this hilarious 80's comedy. Another reminder that just because twins share DNA, doesn't mean they are similar. Additionally, this movie spawned great Halloween costumes for years to come. So grab your twin and get to planning.

6. The Shining

Starring: Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall

Another great Halloween costume, The Shining might've ruined twins for many people in 1980. When Jack Torrance manages a isolated hotel in Colorado, things get... weird. You'll scream when the iconic twin scene appears on screen. You can blame Stephen King and Stanley Kubrick for your twinning nightmares.

7. Jack and Jill

Starring: Adam Sandler and Katie Holmes

With an astonishing 3% on Rotten Tomatoes, this twin movie might not appease many people butttttt who doesn't love Adam Sandler! And, I'm sure there's a very sentimental ending wherein the two characters, Jack and Jill (yes, I know) realize that family is everything and they can put their differences aside and love one another. Bam! Human wikipedia right here.

8. Big Business

Starring: Bette Midler, Lily Tomlin, and Fred Ward
