8 Products That'll Make You Want to Visit the Gym
Hello old friend.
Thanks to These 8 Products, Going to the Gym Isn't Completely Unbearable
Do you like going to the gym? Few people do but most of us know we need to work out to live a long and healthy life. Gym memberships spike in the month of January, thanks in part to New Years resolutions.
Because it's a catch-22 situation (working out hurts, not working out hurts) I've found a few products that help me get out of bed and get my butt to the gym. It's not easy but looking forward to wearing certain clothes or feeling clean can help motivate me to get active before work. Take a look at the products that get me to the gym and see if you agree!
1. Leggings You'll Actually Want To Work-Out In
I'm not a fan of fancy $100 leggings. I find it obnoxious to pay that much money for something that doesn't hide my butt. That's why I love Joy Lab, a brand brought to you by Target. The leggings are affordable and comfortable. They come in a wide variety of sizes, colors, and styles. After a few washes, they are still in tact. If I had to roll out of bed in the morning, putting these leggings on to go to the gym isn't as painful.
2. A Bra That Holds Those Puppies Down
This longer-look sports bra is great to work out in. Your boobs don't smash around when you're running on the treadmill. It looks really good on and it makes gym excursions a little more bearable. Lululemon is having a sale so go get yourself a nice new bra for those jumping jacks.
3. Socks That Won't Make You Scream The F-Word Because They Don't Fall Down
First off, it's nice to find a matching pair of socks regardless of your gym tendencies. But when you have to pack your gym bag the night before, Nordstrom's has you covered. Grab a few pairs of socks so you're never low.
4. Apple Headphones That Let Me Blast My Music Without Worrying About People Hearing My Show-tunes Playlist
I can't fathom not having Apple headphones. I might be in the minority here but I also like mine not wireless. Blast your motivational music to get you through those terrible squats and your time in the gym might fly by. Alternative idea: download your favorite podcast and listen to someone talk while you workout.
5. Hair-Ties That Keep My Bedhead Concealed from The Rest of the World
You TRULY cannot have enough hair-ties. Add these to your cart and put a million in your car, locker, gym bag, hand, nemesis house, EVERYWHERE. No one works out with their hair down and if they do they shouldn't be trusted. Get that pony high and tight ladies.
6. Shoes That Stay Tied So I Don't Trip and Die on the Treadmill
I have this irrational fear that I'll trip and hit my head on the treadmill in front of a handful of douchey men at my local Equinox. Nike sneakers can help combat my fear of amnesia and/or head injury thanks to their sneakers. Cute, comfortable, and affordable (thanks Zappos!) they are the perfect gym shoe for someone who doesn't know how to adjust the height of the bench press (me).
7. Natural Deodorant That Works When I Get Smelly
Natural deodorants are all the rage these days and while I wasn't a fan, Kopari changed my mind. It smells fabulous and doesn't leave me feeling weird in the pit region. I lather it on before my gym experience and it helps combat my sweat and body odor. But, let's be honest, if I'm working out, I'm not going to smell perfect so deal with it.
8. An Exercise Book That Helps Me Get The Body I Want
Ruth Bader Ginsburg works out everyday and her trainer released this book so you can work out like a badass too. While you might not agree with her politics you can agree she's a strong little lady. She's an inspiration for women everywhere, even in the gym!
