Hailey Bieber's Stunning Style Transformation

It's hard to deny that Hailey Bieber is one of the most influential stars out there when it comes to fashion and beauty trends. Along with creating the iconic donut glaze nails, Bieber brought back headscarves, and natural, feathered eyebrows. That said, it's safe to say that Hailey is a total trendsetter — and one who's undergone quite the transformation, for that matter.

We've seen this star blossom before our eyes; from the young girl standing alongside her famous father, Stephen Baldwin, on her first red carpet, to a super stylish mother dominating our social media feeds. All that maturing has certainly been reflected in her style. One of the reasons she's become such a style icon? She's willing to experiment. "I'm never afraid to try anything. I think that just goes to show that there's a moving evolution [in my style]. It just keeps growing," she explained to Harper's Bazaar during a 2022 interview. With that in mind, we're taking a look back at just how much Hailey Bieber's style has transformed through the years.

2004: Hailey Bieber rocked an adorable floral dress and cardigan on the red carpet Shrek 2

Back in 2004, we saw Hailey Bieber grace the red carpet for one of the first times when she attended the premiere for "Shrek 2" alongside her dad, Stephen Baldwin and sister, Alia Baldwin. Although she was just 7-years-old at the time, the future social media star already had a clear sense of style.

The youngster looked totally adorable as she posed for photos with her family in a green and yellow floral button down maxi dress. She paired that with a yellow cardigan adorned with three-dimensional orange and yellow flowers and only fastened the top button to show a little style. She even threw on a pair of "Shrek" ears for good measure. Too cute! But how could we not mention the bag? The super cute, floral cross-body may even have been homemade. Bieber proudly carried it on the carpet, proving stardom was always destined for as she flashed a smile for the cameras.

2010: We started to see Hailey Bieber's glam side come out

In 2010, Hailey Bieber hit the ESPYS red carpet with her dad, and we got our first real glimpse at just how glamorous and stylish her style would turn out to be. Hailey was dressed oh so on trend for the time, as she rocked a bright one shoulder orange dress with ruffles across the top and pleats in the skirt. She showed us how well she could accessorize, too. Hailey, who would have been around 14, paired the eye-catching dress with gold open toe pumps and a matching clutch. She also sported a glitzy gold cuff on her right wrist, which was so of the moment. Hailey also start to experiment with her hair on red carpets around this time, as she opted for a fun and voluminous up-do for the sporting event.

Hailey opened up about the difference between her style as an adult and how she dressed as a teen, admitting to W in 2022 that she hadn't really worked out what she liked when she was in her teenage years. "I had a younger sense of style because I hadn't developed my taste yet. I was very influenced by dancer and ballet culture, with the buns and baggy pants to wear over your leotard and tights. I was a dancer, so my style was influenced through that world," she explained. "In some ways, I think it still is."

2013: A black and white mini dress at a movie premiere proved she was all grown up

Three years later, and Hailey Bieber was all grown up. At the premiere of the movie "After Earth," she walked the red looking every inch the supermodel in a black and white bodycon midi dress (which was so on trend in 2013), which she paired with trendy nude court shoes. Bieber also wowed with a glamorous red lip and let her long, blonde hair fall past her shoulders.

This was one of the first times we got to see Bieber's close friendship with Kendall Jenner. Though she posed for photos alongside her dad on the red carpet, Bieber actually attended the event with "The Kardashians" star. The two even took to Keek (which was sort of like the TikTok of its day) to share videos of themselves heading to the big apple event together.

2024: The iconic silver dress proved she why she became a red carpet staple

In the months that followed Hailey Bieber's "After Earth" appearance, she became an absolute staple on the red carpet. And it's not hard to see why when you see her style from the time. Clearly, model life worked for this star as she was spotted at various events showing off her effortless style. In 2014, the model was back in New York City to attend a Calvin Klein fragrance launch party and she looked every inch the supermodel we know her to be today.

Hailey showed off her super long and toned legs in a silver off the shoulder long sleeved look, which shimmered just like the rising star in her. She served up glam with a somewhat grungy twist, pairing the gunmetal color dress with black peep toe heels with strings that wrapped around her ankles. She was back to wearing her blond hair up too, rocking a loose bedhead style up-do that created a stunning juxtaposition between the glitz of the dress and her tresses.

2015: Hailey Bieber proved high fashion was the name of her game in a Dior dress

By 2015, Hailey Bieber got experimental with her fashion, slipping into more avant-garde looks for major fashion events. That year, she hit up a screening of "The Orchard's DIOR & I," and made it very clear that she wasn't afraid to step out in something more high-fashion. Her outfit consisted of an oversized, blush pink satin waistcoat dress, which was more out there than almost anything we'd seen her in before. Up until now, the star had mainly opted for more fitted pieces, but she totally wowed in the shiny, light pink look that totally captured our attention. She had her hair pulled back and walked the red carpet in simple black pointed toe heels with an ankle strap and a top-handle bag.

We love the high-fashion element of this look, so we were surprised when Hailey actually named it as one of her biggest fashion regrets in a 2023 interview with Vogue Australia. "I saw the photographs after and it legitimately looked like I was inside a box. I looked like a present, and it was so bad," she said.

2018 brought us one of her most glamorous looks to date

Following what she considered a fashion faux pas, Hailey Bieber attended the 2018 iHeartRadio Awards in one of her most glamorous looks ever: a sparkly gold jumpsuit. The look consisted of a sheer fabric down the legs, complete with stunning gold embellishments, with fringe that swung from her hips. We really do mean it when we say Hailey is usually ahead of her time when it comes to trends because fringe later went on to have a big resurgence.

Her bob hair from that evening would also go on to be one the most iconic celebrity styles. Though we've seen this star rock quite a few iterations of the style, the sleek, blonde, curled version has to be one of our favorites on her. The shoulder-length cut really let the sparkly one-piece have its moment and gave her a stylish, youthful glow.

By 2020, her clothing reflected the fact she was an all-out superstar

By the time 2020 rolled around, Hailey Bieber was a bona fide superstar. She was one of the most in-demand models in the game, and she'd found love with her husband, Justin Bieber. Clearly, she'd gained a whole lot of confidence when it came to her style, too.

Hailey wore one of her most daring looks while walking the red carpet for the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscars party, sashaying down the red carpet in a super sexy sheer black gown with a slit all the way up her thigh. The dress flattered her enviable figure and appeared to only be lined on the torso. Hailey paired the slinky black number with matching open-toe platform heels and sparkly rings that give us total jewelry envy. Hailey also somewhat changed up her signature hair for the event. Though she still kept it down and shorter, she went for a slicked down almost flippy bob style that gave the linger-inspired look a sophisticated edge.

Even her street style was super on trend in 2021

Around 2021, we saw Hailey Bieber was firmly one of the most fashionable and influential stars in the game. So much so that even her street style was the envy of well, pretty much everyone around. Hailey made it abundantly clear that she knew how to dress for any occasion, as she was spotted walking the streets of Los Angeles during the Covid-19 pandemic rocking a long sleeve white New York Jets tee as a dress. She clearly got the memo that long socks are had pushed ankle socks out of trend too, pairing the look with long white socks and chunky sneakers.

Hailey was ahead of her time with the Sporty Spice athletic trend that really took hold around 2024, as this look demonstrates that aesthetic to a tee (or a long tee, we should say). We love the way this star can literally wear anything and make it look super cool. Hailey later explained to Vogue in 2022 that she even likes to make sure her personality still shines through, even when she's wearing the most casual of ensembles. "My personal style comes through in all the pieces, from the casual comfy ones to the more elevated, structured items," she told Vogue in 2022.

Hailey Bieber's red dress had heads turning in 2023

We saw a lot of the same kind of looks from Hailey Bieber in the early 2020s, as she rocked a lot of black and dark colors both on and off the red carpet. So it made a welcome change when we saw her step out in a jaw-dropping red strapless mini dress in August 2023. The star went totally all-red for a date night with Justin Bieber, pairing the chic ensemble with peep toe red heels and a matching red bag for the monochrome outfit of our dreams. These candid photos went viral at the time because of the dramatic juxtaposition between the twosome's outfits. Hailey looked super glam, as if she'd took a whole lot of time planned out her outfit, while her husband was more on the casual side. The "Baby" singer rocked a unique ensemble, made up of a gray hoodie, gray shorts, and yellow crocks, with a baseball cap over his hood.

Hailey actually spoke out about the public's reaction to the snaps, admitting to GQ that year that she didn't really see the big deal regarding their different styles. "He may want to wear baggy sweats to dinner, and I might want to wear a tiny little dress just because that's how I'm feeling. We can't sit there and be like, 'So I'm going to wear this and you're going to wear this,'" she admitted.

In 2024, Hailey Bieber turned her attention to maternity style

In May 2024, Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber announced the exciting news that they were expecting their first child together, and that kicked off some gorgeous maternity looks from this superstar. But remember Hailey is one of the most stylish models in the game, so she wasn't about to opt for boring maternity outfits that buried her figure. Instead, Hailey stayed right on trend with the ultimate Y2K revival look ... the butterfly top! She posted gorgeous photos to her Instagram a few days after sharing her big news with the world, and she proudly showed off her growing baby bump in the sparkly pink number with spaghetti straps. Hailey paired the top with equally on-trend low rise baggy jeans, making this one of the most on trend maternity looks we've seen in a long time.

Hailey actually predicted that she'd be a super stylish mom to be, admitting to W around two years before announcing her pregnancy that she'd already thought about how she'd style a bump. "I definitely don't want to feel like I have to sacrifice my style when being pregnant. My style is something that's really important to me," she shared. And, clearly, she's not lost an ounce of style so far.
