Fashion Trends Daisy Edgar-Jones Has Absolutely Nailed

Daisy Edgar-Jones got her big break in 2020's "Normal People," and by the time the blockbuster "Twisters" was added to her resume in 2024, she was everywhere. But beyond impressing us with her acting talents, the London-born star is also a fully-fledged fashionista. "I also love fashion and I enjoy seeing how people express themselves through clothes," she explained to Vogue in 2023.

But learning about trends and what styles suit her isn't something Edgar-Jones has honed since she was very young. In fact, even after she started getting widespread attention for acting, her wardrobe wasn't exactly camera-ready. "I wish I could tell my younger self, who just wore any old thing in the wardrobe on Zoom, that those pictures would be on the internet forever," she confessed to Harper's Bazaar UK in July 2024. But, thanks to some help from her stylist Dani Michelle — the woman who's created outfits for trendsetters like Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner — things have changed. "I really love dressing up, I love fashion and playing around with style, and I think I am becoming more and more confident with pushing it but still feeling like myself," Edgar-Jones shared of how much her style has evolved. That most definitely comes across in her looks, because she's nailed countless fashion trends.

In July 2024, the shutterbugs caught Daisy Edgar-Jones arriving at her New York City hotel in a floaty, sheer Chloe ensemble. The outfit — made up of a translucent long sleeve, high neck, ice blue crop top and matching high-waisted pants — proved Edgar-Jones isn't afraid to show a little skin. But she did it in her own way. Sheer clothing can be too much for daytime or uncomfortable for those who don't want their body on show. To combat that, Edgar-Jones wore a spaghetti strap crop-top and ensured her bottom half was covered via layered ruffles. This combination was in-keeping with Edgar-Jones' boho, ethereal style, and combined two trends into one. Not only was it sheer, a big trend, but it featured frills on her hips, torso, and sleeves. Frills also trended in 2024, as the world embraced the coquette aesthetic. Though she totally slayed, we'd have styled this without the tan slouchy boots, which went out of style in January 2024.

In candid photos from July 2024, she practiced the crop-top and oversized pants aesthetic with high-waisted cream trousers and a black cardigan that skimmed her ribcage. Edgar-Jones showed just a sliver of her toned middle in the ensemble, tying the garments together via a black leather waist belt and pointed-toe black shoes. Though many wearing this type of outfit would be tempted to carry a black accessory as an easy neutral addition, the actor went a different route. Instead, she kept things interesting with a patent, brown shoulder bag. The close-fitting button-up and baggy pants balanced one another out, keeping her figure from looking swamped under the billowy bottoms. The sunglasses added an extra layer of effortless cool to the street ensemble.

Another July 2024 day, another trendy look from Daisy Edgar-Jones in New York City — only this time, we're zeroing in on her accessories. The beauty proved she was in-the-know about hot outfit additions as she rocked black micro sunglasses with a contemporary, monochrome black ensemble. The eyewear style has been so popular in summer 2024, and Edgar-Jones' modern, angular pair really suited her oval face shape. The choice may well have been influenced by Dani Michelle, as the sunnies were similar to a pair we saw on Hailey Bieber, who was out in New York the month prior. The "Normal People" actor paired the small sunglasses with a loose maxi dress (which also got in on the sheer trend!), strappy black heels, and a matching black bag.

Unstructured, slouchy purses were a massive bag trend for spring/summer 2024, and Edgar-Jones got in on that by carrying around a dark brown Chloe during the "Twisters" promotional tour. The star was photographed in July 2024 carrying the iconic handbag while out in New York, looking as chic as ever.

She kept her outfit more understated, which made sense seeing as the pocketbook was so grand and eye-catching. She wore a ruffled, spaghetti-strap yellow mini dress and slingback clog heels. In November 2023, the actors stunned in a glamorous, black lace Gucci gown for the 2023 LACMA Art+Film Gala. Edgar-Jones' dress served up the lingerie-as-outerwear trend with its lace corset-style top. We adore the combination of textures, as the velvet panelling and skirt (featuring a thigh-high slit) gave the dress a sophisticated but still sensual twist. To highlight the intricacy of the bodice and thin straps, Edgar Jones wore her hair up and stripped back her accessories, wearing only a simple pair of drop earrings and strappy black heels.

Shiny fabrics were all over the runways, and Daisy Edgar-Jones' was more than willing to that during an August 2022 launch event for "Bad Sisters" in London. She went bold in full on reflective silver pants with a short-sleeve light pink sweater. There's no doubting her bottoms required a boat load of confidence, but Edgar-Jones knew the secret here was keeping her other pieces light and casual. She wore neutral chunky white and peach sneakers and ditched jewelry to allow her pants to be the only metallic in her ensemble. That stopped her attire looking too much like a costume, and it gave us no doubt this beauty can literally pull of any trend.
