5 Times Livvy Dunne's Outfits Totally Missed The Mark

Olivia "Livvy" Dunne is living the dream as a successful gymnast, model, and internet celebrity, with millions of followers across her social media pages. But all that influence doesn't necessarily translate to outfits that are on-point every time, despite her deep passion for fashion. "Before college, my coach and I would design my own custom leotards for all my major competitions," she told Vuori, who admired her style enough to make her a brand ambassador. "I love expressing myself through my style," she added.

Sometimes though, that self-expression needs a little fine tuning — totally understandable for someone young who's still honing their aesthetic. And that means, just like her fellow blond WAG Brittany Mahomes, Dunne has worn a few outfits that missed the mark.

Livvy Dunne's Tigers outfit looked out of place

When Livvy Dune turned out for an LSU Tigers game in September 2024, she wore a black strappy lace tank top, leather-look mini skirt, and knee-high heeled boots with a bold tiger print. We appreciate that she thought outside the box and used the pattern to show support (and that she kept her clothing simple to let her boots stand out), but the ensemble felt very out of place — and fans noticed. "Why wear a outfit that you wear to a club to a damn sports game smh," one Instagram user commented on her upload. This ensemble could have used a jacket or jeans to make it more casual.

Dunne doesn't have to wear a boxy Tigers jersey or the team's purple and yellow colors every time she hits up a sporting event. But, seeing as her boyfriend is also a pro athlete, she may want to take some inspo from Taylor Swift on how to do sophisticated WAG glam on game days

Her unbuttoned jeans weren't sophisticated

To celebrate the Fourth of July in 2023, Livvy Dune unbuttoned her jeans to reveal blue and white star spangled bikini bottoms. Purposefully unfastened pants were an unexpected (and short-lived) trend at the time, so we get why Dunne tried it in her TikTok video. But it just didn't work.

With her straw hat and nude crop top, her ensemble leaned more toward tacky than celebratory. Denim is a staple for Independence Day, so she could have chosen a pair of trendy low-rise jeans for a similar but more fashion-forward look.

Her clothing also suffered from a lack of cohesion, and her crop top would have worked better in red or navy for a more classic Americana aesthetic. Equally, opting for a top with straps would have balanced showing more skin on her bottom half.

Livvy Dunne had to hold up her strapless dress

When Livvy Dunne slipped into a strapless white dress while at a dinner in New York City in June 2024, she veered a little too much toward fashion and not enough toward practicality. Her dress, which featured a cut-out across the torso, had clearly slipped down in several photos, risking a serious wardrobe malfunction.

Though she still looked gorgeous, Dunne wasn't free to pose as she pleased. Snaps showed her holding up the garment up, which likely limited how much fun she could have with her friends. "Sooooo close to a slip In [picture three]," one person even commented on her Instagram upload.

There's nothing wrong with sacrificing comfort for style when you're willing to deal with the consequences, but it is important to make sure garments fit right. Ill-fitting clothes can be a turn-off and can also lead to some very embarrassing moments.

She mixed multiple fashion eras for an incoherent outfit

Livvy Dunne showed off a costume in a 2022 TikTok video, but we're not exactly sure what era she was going for, as her aesthetic was confused. Her embellished headband gave us 1920s vibes, as did her elbow-length black gloves (complete with a bangle around her wrist), and layered pearl necklaces. But if Dunne was going for the flapper vibe, she missed the mark with her dress and shoes.

Featuring a corset-style fastening over the chest, the dress was too fitted and short to match the decade's looser style. It also didn't feature the embellished fringe that was popular at the time. Dunne wore the garment with exposed bra straps and strappy black heels, which were way too modern for the '20s aesthetic.

Livvy Dunne's clear shoes were outdated

Clear footwear had quite the moment in 2022 and 2023, but by the time July 2024 rolled around, the shoes were on the way out. Despite changing trends, however, Livvy Dunne wore a pair of see-through heels (with a plastic panel over her foot) alongside a white halter-neck dress for a party in New York. Because they lack color, Perspex heels can easily go with any outfit. Unfortunately, on this occasion, they made Dunne's look feel outdated.

A couple of celebs were still rocking the barely-there shoes at the same time, but they'd updated them. Chrissy Teigen wore a pointed-toe pair (a shape that was still on trend) to the It's Good "From the Source" dinner that same month, but she opted for a nude heel and clear material on the tips of the shoes only. Had Dunne done the same, she'd instantly have modernized her ensemble and made it feel more sophisticated.
