2024 was the year of chic celebrity manicures, as famous faces tried big trends and put their own spin on classic styles. Zendaya and Kylie Jenner took on the cutesy and colorful garden-inspired mani (more to come from those trendsetters), while Jennifer Aniston served up a demure milky French style. Plus, the queen of manicures, Bella Hadid, gave the latte nails trend a hot summer upgrade.

But one of our fave celeb nail looks of the year came courtesy of Hailey Bieber's 28th birthday in November, when she celebrated with a martini in (and on) her hand. Bieber's almond-shaped talons took center stage in Instagram pics showing small olives (the cocktail garnish) painted onto her pinkie and middle fingers over a glossy, light blue polish. The design was delicate and different, and it got everyone talking. "Hailey Bieber is perfect! her nails are perfect!" one fan commented on an Instagram upload from Bieber's nail tech, Zola Ganzorigt. "Icon Queen! And those nails are super," another wrote. But Bieber wasn't alone in nailing it in 2024.

Vanessa Hudgens also turned to Zola Ganzorigt for a chic and shiny 2024 manicure. But the former "High School Musical" star went even bolder than Hailey Bieber. In May, Ganzorigt shared an Instagram video of Hudgens' duo chrome style, which shone gold and metallic pink for the most stunning, color-shifting effect. Her long nails were incredibly glossy without glitter or 3D embellishments, proving that even simple-to-achieve aesthetics can pack a punch. Hudgens' look can be easily replicated using a chrome powder and a glossy gel top coat.

"Wicked" star Cynthia Erivo rocked several nail looks inspired by the most talked-about movie of 2024, and her super long, painted talons captivated us time and time again. One of our favorite designs was the black, gray, dark green, and silver style she wore to the LA premiere of "Wicked" in November. Each nail was unique, but had a running theme of bling — perfect for the flashy nail jewelry trend – with embellishments on every finger, including large jewels, rhinestones, and even a chain.

Erivo's stylist Shea Osei told Refinery29 that month her nails were not only inspired by her character Elphaba's journey, but her own enviable confidence and self-expression. "Cynthia is able to go out of there into the world and still be authentically herself. She hasn't changed for anything or anyone," Osei said.

Zendaya put a luxurious twist on the clear nail trend in February for the New York premiere of "Dune: Part Two." The actor's uber-long nails were painted with a sheer, deep gold lacquer for a rich and futuristic aesthetic. The color complimented her cream and gold dress, elevating her outfit for a more polished appearance without being distracting. The warm gold also flattered her skin tone and drew attention to multiple diamond-encrusted rings, proving simple metallic nails can make a statement.

Kylie Jenner gave us a '90s throwback in August when she brought back shiny, colored nails gems. An Instagram photo showed "The Kardashians" star had attached one or two gems to each nail (opting for different shapes, sizes, and colors) over a flattering and neutral light pink base. The best part? Gems like these can work on all nail lengths, are easy to apply, and offer the chance to get creative. Jenner's mixed color version would work best with a monochrome black or white outfit to inject a little vibrancy, but all-red gems would elevate a slinky red dress, while black sparkles would serve spooky for Halloween.

Jennifer Lopez returned to the stage in November for an Elie Saab fashion show, and she needed a fabulous manicure to match her fabulous look. Celebrity nail tech Tom Bachik revealed on Instagram that he delivered a "diamond mani" fit for the diva.
