Brittany Mahomes has been rocking her staple long look since at least 2012, when she was still known as Brittany Matthews. The then-student was a keen soccer player and likely wanted a simple, easy-to-maintain cut that could be gathered into a ponytail. In an Instagram photo alongside her future husband Patrick Mahomes, she wore her layered tresses sleek and straight in a deep side part. She revealed she got some help from her then-boyfriend keeping her locks smooth, too. In a cute Instagram snap, the future NFL superstar brushed Brittany's locks while she sat on the floor. "Brushing my hair..what a sweetheart!" she captioned it.

But there were signs of the glam Mrs. Mahomes to be. In a 2012 Instagram mirror selfie, Brittany showed how she styled her mid-length mane. The beauty rocked a fluffy, pink tiara with her mane in uniform curls in celebration of her birthday.
