Anna Kournikova Is Stunning Without Makeup

Though Anna Kournikova mainly shuns the spotlight following her retirement from professional tennis, there was a time the sporty beauty was on the cover of almost every magazine from Cosmopolitan to Maxim. Being a cover girl meant embracing makeup (and a little photoshop here and there), but all that glam doesn't mean this star is afraid to let her natural beauty show. Kournikova told Elle in 2011 her skin is prone to dark spots and puffiness, but much like no-makeup supermodel stunner Gisele Bundchen, she doesn't like heavy, full-coverage cosmetics. "Makeup helps, but I don't like to have makeup on my skin for long periods of time. I just try to use tinted moisturizers," she said. She's also confessed she didn't spend her time gussying up before tennis matches. "I never wear makeup when I'm playing, I don't have time to even think about that. I've learned to focus," she told The Standard in 2012.

But the former "The Biggest Loser" trainer also doesn't mind the world seeing her bare-faced beauty off the court. In 2015, she shared a beautiful throwback Instagram snap that showed her posing with her golfer brother, Allan Kournikova. The tennis player's blemish-free complexion was on full display, as were her fluffy, natural brows and light pink lips. But that's not the only time we've seen this star without makeup.

Anna Kournikova shared a gorgeous makeup-free workout photo

Though Anna Kournikova's stunning transformation has seen her grow beyond regular social media updates, she gave fans an insight into how she looks during her workouts back in 2015. The Russian native shared an exercise selfie on Instagram and proved why not wearing makeup to the gym can be great for your skin. Her fair complexion glowed without foundation (or tinted moisturizer) and she wasn't showing signs of dark undereye circles or bags. Her light brows faded into her skin due to the lighting, while her messy bun let her natural beauty shine. And fans noticed. "Aw you are so pretty without makeup," one fan commented, while another told the star, "You are such a natural, true beauty."

Kournikova's dedication to health and fitness was obvious via her clear skin, as she told South Florida Sun Sentinel in 2011 she aimed to eat five balanced meals a day and always ensured she got plenty of vitamins. "I don't like to swallow pills so I add multi-vitamin powder ... into my water," she said. Whatever this breathtaking retired athlete is doing though, it's clearly working.
