Yellowstone's Biggest Stars Are Stunning Without Makeup

Before "Yellowstone" left the airwaves in 2024, it featured a genetically blessed cast who look almost unrecognizable away from the camera. Kelsey Asbille, who played Monica, has a totally different style in real life and Jen Landon (aka Teeter) makes her character's pink hair look even more glamorous off-screen. But they're not the only ones you may not recognize away from the show.

Take Wendy Moniz, who appeared in all five seasons of the Paramount Network drama as Governor Lynelle Perry. The beauty is clearly confident appearing bare faced in front of the world (and we can't blame her when she looks this good), as she filmed herself sans cosmetics while having an adorable chat with her dog in a 2023 Instagram upload. Her skin glowed in the natural light and she didn't have any pesky undereye bags to diminish. Even without the help of an eyebrow pencil, her brows were thick and full with a flattering shape.

"You're so Beautiful!!!" one person commented on the clip, while another wrote, "Beautiful lady." And she really is. But she's in good company, as several of her "Yellowstone" co-stars are stunning without makeup too.

Before dying her hair pink while playing Teeter, Jen Landon was a blond beauty who wasn't afraid to ditch makeup. In January 2018, she looked years younger than her age (she was reportedly 34 at the time) when she let her skin breathe at the airport and snapped an Instagram selfie with a friend. 

Landon's natural skin tone had a luminous glow as she flashed a coy smile. Her light pink lips looked hydrated and were a healthy pink without the help of lipstick or lip gloss. She pulled her hair back into a casual, loose ponytail, which only added to her comfy and casual look, and we didn't see a single blemish on the actor's flawless complexion.

Kathryn Kelly landed herself a role as Emily on "Yellowstone" for Seasons 4 and 5 and auditioned looking the opposite of glammed up to give the casting team an idea of how she'd look as the low-key character. "I actually did no makeup, I had no makeup on, and I didn't do my hair," she said on "The Official Yellowstone Podcast."

In real life, she seems just as comfortable skipping cosmetics. In a cute and casual Instagram Stories selfie still available via her highlights, Kelly posed alongside her dog while bare faced with her brunette locks pulled back. The car snap showed the actor with her eyes closed under her sunglasses as she gave a slight smile. Her lips were a pink shade, and she showed a little natural texture on her healthy-looking skin that only made her that much more relatable.

Piper Perabo appeared as Summer Higgins in Season 4 and 5 of the western series, and she's just as breathtaking as her character in real life. The "Coyote Ugly" star shared a jaw-dropping makeup-free photo on Instagram in August 2022, smiling with her lips together as a beam of light shone behind her. Perabo had a healthy tan and didn't show any dark under eye circles, while her brows clearly didn't need the attention of a pencil or pomade.

One of her secrets to looking so good au naturel? Greek yogurt. "And I put Greek yogurt on my face," Perabo told Into The Gloss a decade earlier. " ... It's really good for you — I mean, your skin looks so good."

"Yellowstone" fans know Lilli Kay as John Dutton's assistant Clara Brewer, but her followers know her as a natural beauty. In November 2024, Kay posed for a makeup-free mirror selfie on Instagram. She captioned the upload, "sun damage." But even though Kay needs to remember to apply sunscreen even in the winter, she was still breathtaking.

Her sleek eyebrows were still super dark and defined, and her eyes were just as piercing without a slick of eyeliner or eyeshadow. The beauty had a slight shadow under her eyes (which was totally relatable) and appeared to have a few sunspots on her nose and upper cheeks, which is a type of skin hyperpigmentation also known as liver spots or solar lentigines.

Though Dawn Olivieri's villainous "Yellowstone" character Sarah Atwood has an ugly side to her personality, Olivieri certainly doesn't. The actor has shown her cosmetics-free complexion a few times on social media, including in 2024 when she turned the camera on herself for a festive Instagram video taken during a low-key, rainy day outside.

She wasn't wearing a drop of makeup as she wished fans a Merry Christmas and shared her holiday plans. She wore her long, dark locks down (and didn't mind them getting wet) and appeared happy and healthy with hydrated, plump skin and enviable full lips that were anything but dry. The star also had a little natural pinkness on her cheeks, with gave her a youthful glow. Clearly, the "Yellowstone" cast is just as stunning without makeup as they are with it.
