Spring 2025 Trends To Upgrade Your Wardrobe

When the flowers start to bloom and the Easter candy gets demolished (sorry not sorry), that can mean one thing: time to upgrade our wardrobes. Spring marks a chance to have fun with fashion again as the temperatures begin rising and we push our winter coats to the back of the closet, ushering in some exciting trends.

We have great news if you, like us, are still loving the longstanding western-wear revival — because it's here to stay. But that doesn't mean spring 2025 won't be lassoing a few new aesthetics into its fashion fold too, because we can expect the likes of corporate wear and flowy, vacation appropriate outfits to rear their heads too. So you're covered no matter if you're working or playing this season (or both). To get all the info on these trends and more, including how to style them, we got expert advice from Stitch Fix stylist Amy Depler.

Step into vacation vibes

We know it's not quite full-on vacation season yet, but that doesn't mean we can't dress like it is. Amy Depler exclusively told Women.com spring 2025 fashion will put its own spin on the resort wear we usually see in the summer. "[It's] all about pieces that bring vacation vibes — no plane ticket required!" she said.

To get the aesthetic, try a linen shirt over a tank top with a lightweight, crochet cardigan (which will give you that extra bit of warmth before summer rolls around). Sport it with a flowy, maxi skirt, as this will tap into the resurgence of the previously outdated boho trend that's back with a vengeance in 2025. If you want to take the boho vibe even further, Depler suggested swapping one piece for a structured denim garment, such as a jacket (like Levi's Women's Original Trucker Jacket or Wrangler Authentics Women's Stretch Denim Jacket). "[This will provide] the perfect mix of laid-back and polished," she explained.

Bloom in wisteria

Pantone's color of the year is the sophisticated Mocha Mousse, but we're taking a walk on the pastel side for spring as Amy Depler told us wisteria is the color to be seen in as the flower's bloom. "This dreamy lilac hue adds a fresh, whimsical touch to everyday dressing," she said. "Just like the allure of Wisteria Lane in 'Desperate Housewives,' this shade has a polished yet intriguing appeal, making it a standout choice season after season." And you know we're here for channeling our inner Gabrielle Solis any chance we get.

The easiest ways to incorporate this soft, feminine hue into your wardrobe is via a wisteria colored blouse paired with straight-leg jeans. Or you could wear it as a flowy dress (such as Grace Karin's Summer Floral Print Flowy A Line Maxi Dress in Purple Floral or Merokitty's Summer Square Neck Puff Sleeve Boho Midi Dress in Light Purple) under a chunky cardigan. "It brings effortless charm to any look," Depler shared of the season's most popular hue.

Corporate wear is making a comeback (office optional)

Office work is officially back after so many of us said goodbye to the shared workspace and hello to remote working amid the pandemic. "Fresh blazers and wide-leg trousers (which have increased in demand 400% since last year at Stitch Fix) are go-to staples this season," Amy Depler said. "Trade your heavy coat for a blazer in a bold, fresh color to instantly elevate your look." Though Barbiecore hot pink is out for spring 2025, fashion stylist and lifestyle expert Joseph Katz previously told Women.com that deep blue is hot for the season, so try Lock and Love's 3/4 Sleeve Blazer in Royal Brite or Genhoo's Long Sleeve Blazer in Royal Blue. But remember this is your chance to have fun, so pick a color that speaks to you.

"Pair it with sleek trousers or bootcut jeans for a polished outfit that strikes the perfect balance between classic and modern," Depler recommended. "Finish it off with a pair of work heels in pink, red or burgundy to add a sophisticated touch!"

Yee-haw ain't going anywhere, y'all!

Funky fringe was a big deal in 2023 and chic western-wear took over in 2024, so it's no surprise cowboy-esque attire is one of the hottest trends for spring 2025. This time, it's dubbed Ranch Revival, and we'll be seeing the western-wear inspired vibe at festivals all over the globe and on those lucky enough to have snapped up tickets to Beyonce's Cowboy Carter Tour.

"As Coachella and Stagecoach approach, Western-inspired fashion is all about mixing rugged charm with feminine, glam style," Amy Depler said. "Think fringed jackets, denim with sleek stitching, and cowboy boots paired unexpectedly with everything [including] flowy dresses — a duo 82% of our Stitch Fix stylists predicted to be a hit this spring," she added.

One of the best things about this vibe is it's so easy to merge it with your existing style, no matter if you like to be glam or more laidback. "Whether you're going full-on rhinestone cowgirl or keeping it subtle with Western-inspired accessories, this trend is all about making a statement that feels effortlessly cool and undeniably fun," Depler said.

Gingham and plaid outfits will sizzle in spring, too

We've got great news for anyone who loves prints, because gingham and plaid will be everywhere this spring. "These timeless patterns aren't just for cooler months," Amy Depler told us. "Whether you're embracing a preppy aesthetic or mixing prints for a bold, modern twist, they add the perfect touch of texture to any outfit," she added.

To be super stylish, try a flowy, gingham maxi dress (such as Prettygarden's Summer Dress Casual Square Neck Ruffle Strap Plaid Smocked Midi Dress or Ostoo's Boho Floral Print Tiered Casual Flowy Long Maxi Dress) with a fringe denim jacket and cowboy boots to bring in the equally hot western-wear vibe. If dresses aren't your thing or it's not quite warm enough for one yet, a plaid shirt combined with one of 2025's other hottest denim trends, like rugged Ranch Revival jeans, is another way to go.
