Katy Perry's Stunning Eyes Still Shine Without False Lashes
Katy Perry loves faux lashes in her full-glam makeup routine, and is rarely seen in public before getting gussied up. The beauty has hit the red carpet rocking some bold lash looks over the years. In 2012, she sported a glittery red, white, and blue pair at the "Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D" movie premiere in London, which fell the day before the Fourth of July. But although we love how Perry expresses herself through her makeup, her stunning eyes shine without any help.
Perry has super long eyelashes even while wearing minimal makeup, and she's showed us what she looks like without false lashes a few times on Instagram and elsewhere. While the "Woman's World" hitmaker was still an "American Idol" judge in 2023, she celebrated the show's 21st anniversary by posting a photo of herself at age 21.
The picture showed the fresh-faced star without extra lashes and glowing, youthful skin. And her striking eyes were still defined even without any additions to her lash line — other than a little mascara.

Katy Perry, who's had a few outfits that missed the mark, was also without her beloved faux eyelashes at the 52nd Annual BMI Pop Awards in 2004. Marking one of only a handful of red carpet appearances she's made without them, she applied a few coats of mascara but didn't rely on heavy eyeliner to define her peepers. The snap proved her natural lashes are super long, especially on the bottom. In another, informal picture with partner Orlando Bloom, Perry's eyes still look luminescent 16 years later, once again confirming she's just as gorgeous without applying extra strands. Not that there's anything wrong with falsies, of course.
Perry went on to become such a fan of faux eyelashes that she teamed up with Eylure to create her own collection in 2013. Amongst her releases were unique, colored falsies inspired by superheroes, as well as classic, all-black products with different lengths and levels of volume. Dramatic lashes have been an important part of her look ever since.
In a Vogue video showing the "Teenage Dream" hitmaker getting her makeup done, she repeatedly brushed her long lashes with an angled lash brush before her makeup artist applied individual falsies, which have a few foolproof removal methods, using tweezers. "I'm doing stuff with big lights and lots of HD and so there's a lot of things to think about when painting the face," Perry said. "If I can get my brows and my eyes right, that really sets the whole face." Still, we know her eyes are just as gorgeous au naturel.
