Reese Witherspoon Is A Gorgeous Bare-Faced Beauty Going Makeup Free

Reese Witherspoon is beyond gorgeous going makeup free. Black dress queen Witherspoon has publicly been sans makeup a few times, including when she proudly revealed her bare face on social media in 2021.

The "Walk The Line" actor showed how she goes from made under to made up in a pre-Oscars Instagram video, first posing without a swipe of tinted moisturizer or a dot of concealer as she sat in a chair wearing her robe. Clearly, this star didn't need any complexion-enhancing cosmetics, though. Without makeup, she still looked like herself, just more natural. Her lids had a beautiful, natural shadow and her brows still held a full and flattering shape, suggesting she may have tried eyebrow tinting to avoid constantly penciling them in.

After sitting without cosmetics for a few seconds, the bare-faced beauty put a fluffy makeup brush to the camera. The clip then cut to her in full makeup ready for the red carpet, including heavily lined eyes and bronzed eyelids. But, many fans were still focused on how breathtaking her raw beauty was. "U don't need any makeup. [You are] beautiful just the way U are," one person commented.

Reese Witherspoon ditched makeup to share her skincare routine, too

Reese Witherspoon also proudly revealed what she looks like when she wakes up in a 2023 YouTube video for skincare brand BIOSSANCE. She showed fans how she preps her skin before sitting in the makeup chair for work, but even without cosmetics, she had the most flawless complexion. "The Morning Show" star's skin didn't show any evidence of the multiple types of skin hyperpigmentation, pimples, or dry patches, as her incredibly even skin tone was the first thing we noticed. The southern superstar shared the products that helped her achieve her age-defying beauty, including BIOSSANCE Squalane and Marine Algae Eye Cream and BIOSSANCE Squalane and Vitamin C Rose Oil.

Seeing how stunning Witherspoon is before primping, it's no surprise that she felt comfortable on the big screen without makeup. Though most movies have a team of hair and makeup artists to keep actors looking their best, the "Legally Blonde" beauty didn't need help while filming the 2014 adventure drama "Wild." She didn't wear any cosmetics at the request of director Jean-Marc Vallée, despite originally thinking she'd be allowed a little something to create a faux no-makeup look. "Yeah, yeah, a little mascara and a little cover-up, right?" she recalled asking in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, but got the response, "No, no makeup." Yet, she still had us floored.
