Coachella 2025 Was A Fashion Disaster For Everyone There - Here Are The Worst 'Fits

Every year when Coachella rolls around, fashion takes center stage next to the musical headliners. The festival is famous for out there, bold looks that don't always hit the mark, so much so one X, formerly known as Twitter, user asked, "Why do people wear the ugliest f**king outfits anyone has even seen to #Coachella?????? Is that like part of it or does nobody have any lick of taste????????" Harsh, but they do have a point. 2025's roster was no different than past years either, with a plethora of skin-flashing, avantgarde ensembles on show.

Plenty of stars stepped out for the Indio, California, event wearing questionable clothing. There were a few expected celebrities wearing yet another fashion disaster (we're looking at you, Julia Fox) but there were also a few surprise names who made a rare misstep, resulting in one of the worst festival 'fits of the year (sorry, Ciara).

Machine Gun Kelly's Coachella ensemble was so busy

Machine Gun Kelly put a bit of everything into his Coachella outfit. His loud ensemble included a Metallica hat over a black bandana, black vest, leather-look pants, and an open, oversized, neon yellow, gray, and black camouflage jacket. As if that wasn't enough, he added dark sunglasses, a statement necklace, and heavily embellished gloves. Though we appreciate the musician taking a fashion risk for the festival, each garment was fighting for attention not only with each other, but with the multiple tattoos on his arms too. The various patterns and finishes clashed, and MGK wearing so many pieces around his face made it hard to tell it was even him. The temperature outside was also in the 90s, which made his thick jacket even more of a questionable choice.

Julia Fox's nude corset and exposed behind was over-the-top

We can always rely on Julia Fox for a fashion moment — just not always a great one. The runner-up worst dressed celeb of 2024 wore a nude corset with matching garters over a tan, sheer body suit, a cropped brown leather jacket, and knee-high riding boots that made her look like she had tried on costume pieces from various movies. The ensemble was too busy and left us wondering where to look, while the multiple nude garments were too close to her skin tone, washing her out.

Clearly, the star is still stuck on the pantless trend from summer 2024, as she appeared to be wearing some sort of thong that left her rear end fully exposed. Unfortunately, from the front, her gusset's dark seam wasn't exactly flattering.

Emma Roberts' black-and-white ensemble was a missed opportunity

In any other situation, Emma Roberts' white, sleeveless waistcoat combined with a plain, black miniskirt and tall, leather boots would make perfect sense. But compared to the daring, sheer skirt and black bodysuit she wore to Revolve Festival the following day, this ensemble was borderline boring. Coachella is all about taking risks with fun outfits that wouldn't work anywhere else, but clearly, that wasn't on the actor's agenda with this look that seemed more appropriate for a quiet dinner in Hollywood than a desert festival. Plus, with all the dirt that gets kicked up at Coachella, it's not exactly the smartest choice to wear something that could easily get dirty.

Leah Kateb's plunging dress and heels weren't Coachella friendly

As much as we liked former "Love Island USA" star Leah Kateb's butter yellow (a major color trend for spring/summer 2025) strappy dress and matching heels, the look felt impractical for Coachella. The plunging dress put her at risk of a wardrobe malfunction in a large crowd of concertgoers. In the same vein, her fluffy shoes weren't the best choice for festival's grass fields and the hours of standing needed to watch the performances. Square-toe sandals were officially declared an outdated shoe trend for spring 2025, too — and Coachella isn't the place for outdated fashion.

Ciara's ruffled, denim shorts weren't flattering

Though we usually love Ciara's fashion, especially her stage outfits, her 2025 Coachella 'fit left a lot to be desired. The star wore a form-fitting, long-sleeve top that gave us motorcore vibes, but the her raw-edge, multi-layered, denim shorts seemed out of place. The fabric added too much bulk around her hips and lower torso to be flattering and looked like a denim tutu — something a child might cut up for their doll. Even worse, black fabric could be seen underneath the ruffle, exposing what appeared to be undershorts. The singer aslo wore layers of mixed metal and pearl necklaces, which could have been dangerous as she danced on stage.
