Former Detective Erin Lindsay actor Sophia Bush, for example, has been in the spotlight for years after landing her big break on "One Tree Hill," and she hasn't shied away from speaking openly about her relationships and her sexuality over the years. In real life, though, Bush is dating ex-professional soccer player Ashlyn Harris at the time of writing. The actor confirmed their romance to Glamour and had nothing but sweet words for her partner. "I am absolutely in awe of her relentless integrity. The way she prioritizes and centers her kids, not only in her life but in the core of her being, is breathtaking to behold," she said. "Falling in love with her has sutured some of my own childhood wounds, and made me so much closer to my own mother."

On Harris' 40th birthday, she returned the favor with a loving message of her own. Harris posted an Instagram photo of herself and Bush celebrating with friends alongside the caption, "Sophia, Thank you for loving me the way you do. For the most beautiful birthday and for reminding me what home feels like. I'll find you in every lifetime baby, but I'm grateful I get this one by your side."

Before finding love with Harris, Bush was famously married to her former "One Tree Hill" co-star Chad Michael Murray. They announced their separation in 2005 after five months of marriage. She was also married to Grant Hughes (and wore a stunning, outside the box wedding dress on their big day) but they split in 2023. Detective Kim Burgess actor Marina Squerciati is married to Eli Kay-Oliphant, a partner at Sparacino PLLC law firm. The star then confirmed she and her husband were expecting their second child with an adorable bikini bump photo on Instagram in December 2024. "2024 was a BIG year for me, literally," she wrote. Amy Morton plays Trudy Platt, wife of firefighter Randall McHolland, in "Chicago P.D.," but off-screen, the star, who joined the show for Season 2, has enjoyed a lengthy, stable relationship. She married theatrical sound designer Rob Milburn in 1997 and told Chicago Tribune she'd known him since around 1980. But it was far from love at first sight. Tracy Spiridakos made her first foray onto the "Chicago P.D." set in Season 4 — and she soon found love off-screen. The star is dating her co-star Jesse Lee Soffer at the time of writing, and the two have shared various adorable photos across social media. The Detective Hailey Upton Halstead actor and Jay Halstead star first sparked dating rumors in summer 2024 when she shared Instagram photos from their trip to Portugal. Then, in February 2025, Lee Soffer gushed over Spiridakos for her birthday. He posted a photo of the two together on Instagram with the caption, "A very happy birthday to this cute one" with a red heart emoji. That summer, they vacationed with friends in Italy.

The regular sightings have had fans clambering for the two to take their relationship to the next level and get married, just like their characters. After Spiridakos posted photos of them attending a wedding in October 2025, one Instagram fan commented, "Oh, hey when it gonna be your wedding? You two are such a lovely couple. A source told New York Post in January 2024 though that the former co-stars had supposedly been dating in secret for years before they went public.
