Grey's Anatomy Casts First Gay Male Surgeon In Season 15

Season 15 of Grey's Anatomy has promised to bring us many changes so far. We're excited to learn that we will finally have a gay Asian male surgeon join the show in the upcoming season. Dr. Nico Kim will be portrayed by actor Alex Landi. Landi is known for his guest-starring role in CBS' Bull.

You might be wondering how it's possible Grey's really hasn't had a male gay character yet, you're not the only one! We've had so many female gay characters play huge roles through the history of the show, it's hard to believe we haven't had any male gay characters yet. One of the most influential love stories on Grey's was between Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw).

TVLine has confirmed this much about him, but we have no further details on his character or how long he will stay for.

Landi will be joining Chris Carmack who was recently casted for the show, as well as Kim Raver who will finally be returning. We're definitely looking forward to the new faces of season 15 as well as the old ones.

We don't know much about Nico yet, but we're ready for him to become a big part of our lives now.
