Can you believe we made it to the Riverdale season 2 finale? We definitely can't. Although this season was twice as long as season 1, we are itching for more. So, when does Riverdale come back? Season 3 returns sooner than you think, and hopefully, in 2018. But, you can't be too sure. Since the first two seasons were released at different times. Though, they were released in the same year, so we have hope that a speedy Riverdale return is coming up, too.

When Is The Riverdale Season 3 Premiere Air Date
Everyone is asking when Riverdale season 3 will return to the CW after its summer hiatus. And we don't blame them. The ciffhangers that around bound to happen will keep us on our toes. It's what they're for, after all. While we're all looking forward to the premiere date, the CW has yet to release the official air date for Riverdale season 3. So, don't start the countdown just yet.
However, we have an idea of when season 3 of Riverdale will be released on the CW.
Potential Season 3 Release Date
Last year, Riverdale had two premieres. One in January and another one in October. However, we bet that Riverdale will follow the season 2 path and come back in October as part of the CW's fall lineup.
Season 1 started on October 11, 2018. So, we will probably get to see new episodes of the series up and running again in early October. Fingers crossed. But, stay tuned and keep checking back with us. We will update this post as soon as the release date is revealed by the CW.
Riverdale Season 3 Premiere Start Time
Since we don't know when the official start date is, we won't know the time slot for some time. Luckily, we bet season 3 of Riverdale will hold onto the prime 8/7c slot. Whether or not that is a Wednesday is up to the CW from here.
What's Happening In The Riverdale Season 3 Premiere?
We don't have all the details on the premiere for next season. However, we know there will be a few nuggets that hint at what comes next season in the season 2 finale.
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told Seventeen that "there will be definite easter eggs laid in the Season 2 finale," when he discussed what was coming in season 3.
So, keep an eye out and rewatch the season 2 finale for clues for next season. It's bound to be a good one.
