Have you ever dated a commitment-phobe who just refuses to grow up? A guy who just can't seem to hold down a job? A boy who is trapped in a man's body? Well, join the club sister, because that seems to be the norm these days. A bunch of perpetual bachelors who are just floating around, seeing where life takes them.
Well, it turns out science actually has a name for this: and it's called Peter Pan Syndrome.
What is Peter Pan syndrome?
It is: "an older person whose emotional life has remained at an adolescent level. [He has a ] fear of being caught in a situation from which it might not be possible to escape. He covets independence and freedom, opposes boundaries and limits, and tends to find any restriction intolerable.
He is, for sure, almost every guy I've ever dated.
How can you spot a boy with Peter Pan Syndrome?
They don't like labels
They can't hold down a job
They change cities frequently
They might abuse drugs or alcohol
They're incredible playful and childlike, but run from any adult-like responsibility
If this reminds you of your boyfriend or that guy you just saw on Bumble...RUN
